Switzerland is indeed a wine producing country, but since most of the production is consumed locally, Swiss wines are not widely exported to American retail shelves. At Beverage Trade Network’s international tasting event in Chicago we were pleased to meet Thor Thorvaldsson, who has set up distribution of Swiss wines from Neuchatel here in The USA. His Pinot Noir offering reflects peppery notes along with limestone minerality.
