"Adulting" is a challenging endeavor. The volitional nature of taking on such a task could lead one to believe that no matter the difficulty, one should simply "suck it up" because it's something the person asked for. Although some truth lies in the phrase, it doesn't fully capture the complexities, and constant sacrifice one endures when they fully execute "adulting".

During episode 026, we discuss the challenges with managing responsibility, the importance of staying connected to our inner child (Peter Pan), and using that connection to manifest the hero (Peter Parker) within us.

Far too often we find ourselves striving to reach standards of achievement that we didn't create. Furthermore, it is this approach that ultimately causes us to overlook the fact that perfection exists in the process, and not the end result.

Do aliens exist? Is God real? Does Ayahuasca (DMT) open the door to a spirit realm? Can not believing in a higher power be considered a belief? In classic TuneTheFork fashion, we explore many of these thoughts, and more in episode 24.

Conventional wisdom tells us that the motivation of man is to seek pleasure/comfort, and avoid pain/suffering. Although not directly stated, the statement can lead one to infer that the underline value of these dualities fall in either the good, or bad category. During episode E022, it is this categorization that we dissect, and venture to understand how shifting our perception of the value can empower us to learn more about ourselves, and ultimately lead to deeper healing.

The term "street" may have many meanings, and carry various connotations depending on who's using the word. In episode 20 we attempt to define "street", identify the multipurpose skillsets of those who are fortunate to wear the title, and examine how the desire to mentally maintain some of the lifestyle remains long after retiring from the "game".

In the 2001 John Singleton movie "Baby Boy", Ving Rhames character (Melvin) discusses the concept of mans possessions being broken in to two categories; "Guns & Butter". Guns represent real estate, stocks and bonds; items that appreciate in value. Butter symbolizes depreciating assets such as cars, clothes jewelry, etc. E020 expands on this concept, and uses "thermometers" as a metaphor for essentially speaking the truth, and "thermostats" as an idea for creating the environment one wishes to live in.

The general belief is that as a species, we are first, human. However, the more we move through our societal constructs, we find ourselves forced to identify with specific groups. Our life experience has taught us the name of that force, and it's called racism/white supremacy. In episode 019, we discuss the challenges with associating with groups, and how the over-identification of that group ultimately leads to further conflict, and apathy.

Black death at the hands of law enforcement has occurred for far too long. This episode seeks to identify the underline forces that permeate our culture, and manifest in societies negative perception, and value of black life.

Tortured Souls touches on the idea of judging people based on their actions, and if this process really positions us to see the truth of the people in our lives. Much of our nonconstructive behavior is unconsciously motivated in an effort to manage trauma, and missing the opportunity to explore a deeper understanding ultimately contributes to perpetuating the trauma in ourselves and others.
