  • #91 - Diipa Khosla with Sapreet on The Universal Radio Network

“I think for many years feminism has gotten the bad PR and kind of stigma that it’s very anti-men and it’s very anti-everything, and I think what happens when the pendulum goes too negative at one point will come back at center, where women are equal to men - nobody needs to be above or below, nobody needs to fight anyone, it’s about a world where men respect women and women respect men equally,” - Diipa Büller-Khosla

Diipa Büller-Khosla is a Content Creator, Entrepreneur, Founder of Indē Wild, and the non-profit organization Post For Change. An Indian fashion and beauty influencer, Diipa has graced multiple magazine covers including Vogue Magazine, Elle India, and UK’s largest bridal magazine, Conde Nast Brides. The Universal Radio Network’s very own Sapreet Buttar had the chance to connect with Diipa to discuss her beginnings as an influencer and content creator, her thoughts on South Asian representation, and much more in this special International Women’s Day programming.

At the start of their conversation, Diipa talks about the key lessons she learned at the beginning of her content creator and entrepreneurial journey (1:38), what her key support systems were (5:32), how this year's theme for International Women’s Day resonated with her (7:22), and if Indē Wild has launched in Canada (10:01). Next Diipa shares her thoughts on whether there is currently enough South Asian representation in mainstream social media (13:06), what spaces she would like to see more female South Asian representation in (15:19), and how women can empower one another (16:32). Finally, Diipa shares what she would personally describe what it means to be a feminist (18:44), and who her biggest female role-model is (20:12).

  • #86 - How to Use The One Second Advantage and Build the Ultimate Circle

“Every single thing I kind of break down into smaller segments - so if I have a big goal, if I can break it down and treat that individual goal as its own big thing, then the one-second advantage is a lot more apparent, and that’s where the details really start to come in,” Khurram Sultan

Khurram Sultan is an entrepreneur, basketball trainer, and founder of ITD Academy focused on developing young basketball players within Edmonton. Khurram is also the founder of Panthers basketball, one of the newest basketball clubs in Edmonton, which is partnered with Legacy Athletics, with their joint mission of providing a memorable experience for young athletes, providing them with an environment that fosters growth, and building confidence in their game as they develop. The Universal Radio Network’s very own Qashus had the opportunity to sit with Khurram to discuss how being knowledgeable in one area can help with another area of one’s life, working on your passion, and more in this sit-down.

At the beginning of the interview, Khurram gives the listeners a short introduction about himself, the origins of ITD, and how it evolved over time (8:24), what inspired him to fully commit to ITD Academy (11:28), how media played a role in basketball during COVID and in the present (14:56),  how Khurram used the one-second advantage in business and in his personal life (17:08), and why the small details are important in whatever you are working towards (19:50).

Next Khurram and Qashus talk about what free association is (23:41), the concept of unlearning habits that have been ingrained into our system (26:08), the importance of the friend group and peers he surrounds himself with (28:21), and advice Khurram would give for people looking to enhance their circle and the people they are surrounded by (36:22). Finally, Khurram gives insight as to why delusion can be a good thing (38:53), and how he obtained the creative spark for branding for both the digital and business side (46:28).

  • #83 - Becoming a More Effective Leader, by Tuning into your Feminine Energetics

“So if we can move to more of the space of being in tune with our body, being in our feminine is being in our body, being in present with our body, becoming embodied - is also really relying on our intuition, our inner wisdom, trusting and knowing, getting out of our logical mind and coming into our bodies, so we can come from that information source that’s within the body,” -Susanne

And the four spiritual phases associated with the menstrual cycle (34:30). Sensitive content is shared in this interview, and listeners' discretion is advised.

“This needs to be an established way of thinking in the west that the Middle East is not a place where pain and suffering are normal; people feel the same pain, the same suffering, and because of the propaganda in the west of how the Middle East is portrayed as an abstract region of pain and suffering where it’s okay for these people to go through this because they have been going through this for a long time… and that mentality needs to change,” - Elika Ashoori
