The Indiana Democratic Party convention will be held on July 13, 2024. The convention is the time for us to finalize our platform, and the delegates will select our candidate for Attorney General. We know Todd Rokita has been and continues to be an embarrassment to our great state. From lying on television to lying about legal proceedings, it is clear, he is not the kind of individual to hold this office.Luckily for us, we have two amazing women running to be our next AG.

This week on Turn Left, you can hear from both candidates. No, this will not be a debate, rather an opportunity to learn about these candidates. Turn Left will be another tool for delegates to know more, to be better informed, and to make a good decision.

The news of Micah Beckwith winning the election for Lt. Governor should cause concern. He is looking to bring the same type of chaos to our state house that he brought to the library board in Hamilton County. Dude wants to ban books and ban the LGBTQ+ community.

Now that we have all taken a breath from the primary, have you considered which candidates or campaigns you will support?

May I make a suggestion? We must end the super majority in the statehouse. So many policies that are being created can be harmful to Hoosiers, and good policies that could help Hoosiers are not getting into committees.

As Democrats, we don't have enough elected officials on our side to push any initiatives we may have. The best we can do is hopefully make bad bills less bad or try to add amendments to bills that could help Hoosiers.

Our state government is not representing the people, the way it is supposed to.We can complain, but it would be better for us to spend time helping candidates. Like my two guests this week.
