    Are you a coach or consulting who struggles with the journey of marketing yourself? This episode is for you.
    As of this podcast I’m back from Dallas Tx where I joined Travis Sago (from Episode #27) and 9 other high-level digital entrepreneurs to take our level of contribution to another level.
    We were held up in a private suite for 3 days at the Dallas Omni. The men I was surrounded by were amazing.
    You have to understand the last 60 days have been surreal as I’ve done over [listen to podcast] in sales.
    December was [listen to podcast] alone.
    And I’m so humbled.
    There was a time, not that many years ago I couldn’t even keep my lights on.
    I literally had to live with a friend for 30 days because I had no electric.
    • I struggled with knowing if I was enough.
    • I struggled with knowing if I had a purpose here.
    • I struggled with knowing if I was capable of making a difference.
    I really should write a book about all the shit I put myself through from 2004 to 2009 and how I’ve come out on the other side a better man for it.
    My problems seemed SO HUGE and insurmountable to me back then.
    There were times I literally had no money.
    No food.
    And no sense of self-worth.
    I once had a landlord Dave Barnard, that gave me money to pay for my electric bill WHILE I was already 2 1/2 months behind on rent.
    He believed in me.
    I’m not sure he had any idea what that meant to me back then.
    The good news is today…
    I’ve learned to not take myself and my circumstances so seriously.
    I’ve learned to love the lessons that come into my life.
    I’ve learned my problems are ON my way not IN my way.
    I’ve learned life doesn’t assign me meaning, I assign meaning to life.
    I am the meaning.
    I can make life easy.
    And to do so I invest in myself to be the very best version of myself.
    Hence working with Travis at such a high level like I have.
    Life is easy because I’m at ease with life today.
    I spent 3 days 1on1 with Travis back in November and he said something to me that really shook to  my core.
    It’s something I’ve known…
    …but I’ve never fully articulated intellectually or verbally…
    He said…
    “…the minute you were born Tony, you won.”
    So simple…
    …And it’s true for me.
    Every day I wake up and journal what I’m grateful for.
    I’m grateful for the mistakes.
    I’m grateful for the lessons.
    I’m grateful for the obstacles.

    It took me a long time to figure it out…and I was at the effect of it for MANY years.

    Like molding a piece of iron into something useful…
    …it took work.
    Effort.
    Sweat.

    And focus.

    The definition of purpose is “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.”


    The minute I took responsibility for my trajectory in life and knew what to make my FOCUS, I no longer felt alone or without purpose again.
    Did I have it all figured out at first?
    No.
    Looking back on HOW I’ve come to the point I am, I didn’t have a lot of shit figured out all.
    I didn’t need to.
    I just knew I could apply myself to solving a set of problems for a very specific type of person…
    …who I later was able to narrow down through trial and error.
    And I made it my mission to help them.
    I observed them.
    I listened to them.
    I made an offer to help them.
    I took their money.
    I solved their problem.
    Rince and repeat today.
    For someone who doesn’t know his father…
    …wasn’t raised in a traditional family environment, only has a high school education, found himself living on the street, and has almost died from two drug overdoses…
    …I haven’t done too bad.
    But I was lost at one point.
    Looking back, there were 3 words that come to mind.
    Responsibility.
    Empathy.
    Love.
    They’ve turned my life around.
    They shaped my perspective of myself and of why I am here.
    Today I don’t believe in excuses.
    Only contribution and growth.
    The only thoughts that are powerful are the ones I choose to believe.
    I choose…
    …To serve.
    To Love.
    To live.
    Where ever you are…
    …there’s always a reason to thrive.
    A purpose to live for.


    A way THROUGH.

    Here’s what I traditionally see happening that keeps coaches and experts from generating $10k to $30k from advanced sales of their programs:

    * Expert spends months creating a program based on what they think people need rather
    than what they actually want [Why? Because of course they’re the expert]
    * Expert creates a hot website and “funnel” with videos, tripwires, and multiple email sequences based on what they see other people do
    * Expert struggles to find and send people through said funnel [with no sales or only a piddly few]

    I have countless conversations each week with experts & coaches with this issue.
    I spoke with someone a few weeks ago who has been applying these 3 steps for 3 YEARS.
    No surprise – he’s still struggling.
    People want “more traffic” or a “better conversion sequence” when one simple fact usually is the culprit…
    …the bucket they’re wanting to fill has some major holes.
    Pouring more water into a bucket with holes won’t fix the problem.
    These folks don’t have a traffic problem or even a funnel problem  – THEY HAVE AN OFFER PROBLEM.

    You see, you don’t need more videos, funnels, “tripwires” or upsells.
    What you want to do is to test your offer…
    …are people ABLE, CAPABLE AND WILLING to give you money to solve their perceived problem based on your you make?
    My clients don’t physically invest time, energy or resources creating an actual program until they’ve brought in $10k to $30k in sales…or more.
    Over the past few years I’ve create a healthy 6 figure income with usually nothing more than a
    1 hour webinar, an application, and a phone conversation.
    That’s been my “funnel” not to mention LOADS of referrals.
    But as of late I’ve simplified it even more:
    Step 1) What perceived problem does my ideal prospect have?
    Step 2) Reach out and offer to help them solve it
    Step 3) Take their money and guide them to eliminating their pain + help them get their desired results.
    This is a pretty universal approach and works in all sorts of situations, not just webinars or
    teleseminars.
    Am I over simplifying?
    I don’t think so…
    …because for something to work on a grand scale you want to make sure it works on a smaller scale first.
    The good news is my clients make a few BIG sales with quiet offers that the main stream doesn’t hear about.
    We’re helping them to confirm their offer is solid BEFORE we put all that other crazy complicated stuff in place.
    And we know it’s solid because the money is in the bank 🙂

  • 3 Myths You Can Ignore Before Creating & Selling Your Next Signature Program TPIP: 0032

    Are these 3 myths keeping you from successfully launching your first high ticket signature coaching program? In Episode 0032 I’ll share with you not only what they are but how you can move through them so you finally make the profit and impact you want.

    PERIOD.
    And if you don’t do it – someone else will come along and do it for them instead.
    But you have your reasons for not doing it yet right?
    Well here are 3 myths I hear from people every day that stop them from creating and successfully launching their first high ticket coaching program.
    Myth #1: I’m Scared – I’m afraid no one will want it

    Myth #2:  I need a huge audience before I launch a product
    Totally not true…I’ve personally helped clients sell a $997 product into a list of 250 subscribers who only had bought a $50 – 30 day program.
    We did 7 sales!
    Myth #3:  I want it to sell it for $197 so everyone can access it
    Big mistake in my opinion. Lots of my clients who first came to me couldn’t have imagined selling something for $1000 to $5000 but that’s the first big distinction you want to make – people aren’t buying a program – they’re buying a RESULT.
    $197 price tag  isn’t a signature program. It’s really just a step in what we call the ascension model – low ticket to high ticket.
    The problem with that is if someone doesn’t like your low ticket information they may miss out on the transformation you provide at the high level.
    Just by adding a group coaching component where you add a live Q&A to your training each week you increase the value because you can provide more immediate feedback.
    In Closing:
    At the end of the day you can make this process long and hard or you can make it quick and simple.
    Most of my clients before working with me wanted to create the perfect program without making a mess.
    They wanted the materials perfect and their delivery flawless – and the truth is that isn’t how it really happens at all. No one will tell you this though.
    And the reality is – successfully launching your program starts WAY before you do any kind of major public launch. It starts with your list – which is why I only work with people who have an email list.
    I can show you how to quickly and simply get your program pre-sold at a profit so you have 100% confirmation people are willing to buy it.
    Quick and simple can be messy…and I’ve perfected a process that allows you to eliminate these problems and profitably launch your product in a stealthy manner.
    So even IF it did flop – no one would know about it but you.
    Yes it can by slightly messy but what if your clients were not only OK with it being messy but were actually excited about it?

    When I first got online I couldn’t figure out what my lead attraction problem was and then I discovered it…and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

    In today’s Episode, I just wanted to share a powerful concept I myself practiced for some time before I finally grew conscious of and tired of its natural, PAINFUL, consequences.
    You see, I attracted in my business what I myself practiced…
    …and not everything I practiced is what I wanted my clients to demonstrate.

    I’ve experienced it all…because I’ve done it all:
    1) STAND PEOPLE UP FOR CALLS – Don’t be terribly offended when your prospects don’t follow through on their word either.
    2) TRY TO HAGGLE FOR THE BEST PRICE? – Don’t be surprised when your prospects try to haggle with you for “the best price.”
    3) JUST WANT INFORMATION? Show up to strategy calls with the soul purpose of just “gaining clarity” or “just gathering information?” – Don’t be surprised when your prospects walk away from your calls with the same intent (and never buy)
    I have dealt with the Karma of these situations because I’m guilty of them myself in the past…
    …and not in this coaching & expert industry btw, but in prior industries.
    We’re talking deep seeded 20-year-old behaviors I demonstrated when first getting in sales.
    To this day, it’s why I read material that grows me as a person and expands my mind.
    I had no idea how much shame and negative energy I carried around for years…
    ..Until I did the work around it.
    But I’m not ashamed of my behavior today….
    …at one time I was.
    Once I became conscious of my behaviors, I made them mean something about myself…
    I felt as if I was stealing from people…and I was.
    I was stealing their time.
    Guilt is holding something we’ve done or failed to do up against our values and feeling psychological discomfort. Per Brene Brown…it’s actually helpful.
    Brene Brown also defines shame as the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and, therefore, unworthy of love and belonging.
    Once I became aware of these definitions, I had to stop and confront the stories I was telling myself around my own deservingness and whether or not I felt I belonged in this space.
    My core belief…otherwise know as the story I would tell myself every moment of every day…
    …was…I wasn’t important and I wasn’t needed.
    And, therefore, how could anyone value me. (i.e. my gifts & talents)
    And don’t think this didn’t affect me in the other areas of my life such as my finances, my relationships, and my health…because it did.
    THREE DISTINCTIONS:
    Distinction 1) I was seeking validation through my prospects decision to invest. I used their “yes” as a measure of success and on a deeper level…self-worth.
    This, of course, did nothing but erode my self-confidence every time someone said no.
    Distinction 2) I later looked back and realized I received validation (and a sense of pride) BECAUSE clients got great results. How do I know?
    They TOLD me so…Plus I could SEE their tangible results.
    So I made getting my clients massive results a priority.
