I went into this completely blind but if it smells like a body horror film that can get a reaction out of me, I'm all in favor of it... In a strange way, I'm sometimes looking to see how far these types of films can push the envelope with the idea of body horror type of stuff. Here's hoping. Enjoy, y'all.

In honor of Stephen King's big day, I decided to bang out a movie I've wanted to cover from the beginning... Not only a childhood classic for me, and in general, but a made for tv film that actually holds the weight of a bigger studio film for me. I also really still admire that this is a ghost tale, and not the average revenge slasher that it could've turned into. There's all types of atmosphere and tension here, and it comes together pretty good with this cast. Enjoy, folks.

Guillermo Del Toro is back with a very random, in my opinion, movie but the bright side of this mysterious film is this star studded cast overall... Bradley Cooper here, Cate Blanchett there, Ron Pearlman and William Dafoe, etc. It's loaded to say the least. So while I went into this completely blind, the names attached to this had me sold for the most part. Enjoy, folks.

V/H/S was a found footage flick that truly creeped me all thee way the hell out, like seriously... What those guys behind the camera put together in the form of an anthology was just insane and disturbing in great ways. Even though the last go round with the series wasn't as good as the previous two, it wasn't terrible enough to keep me from this new one. So I'm curious to see what nightmare fuel these familiar creators and newcomers cook up on tape for us. Enjoy, y'all.

Make no mistake when I say that this is the last House Party movie for me... This is almost a book ending thing for this series as far as I'm concerned, so parts 4 and 5 (Yes, they exist unfortunately) mean nothing, and that's no offense to those involved. But to see Kid N Play, and a few other returning characters, go from high school parties to college parties to bachelor parties gone awry, it brings me a certain joy. This is also the second best of the three for me and a heavy hand in that is the late great Bernie Mac. R.I.P. to one of the G.O.A.T.s. Enjoy, folks.

It's time to up not only the ante, but the comedic antics as well since Kid N Play are having another go round... As bonkers as this movie is at times, this still holds a whole lot of humor and even warm moments throughout. I really wish Robin Harris had been alive to be in this sequel, but at least he is honored more than a few times here, and even has a dedication before the movie even starts. R.I.P. to Robin "Pops" Harris. Enjoy, people.

Netflix has yet another original vampire flick to offer... Only this time, it's from a studio I trust more in, which is Blumhouse. A female black lead is always intriguing, and especially when she's banding together with her friends to stop a mansion full of vampires. Enjoy, people.
