The Fog is a movie that still holds up as one of the best John Carpenter films, and horror films ever made for me... Never over the top as far as the violence, a great atmosphere, and an amazing cast overall. Funny enough, the idea had never come across my mind as far as what a sequel could be. But clearly, John Carpenter is now teasing a follow up to it, and possibly other films he's done. Sign me all thee way up for this here. Enjoy, folks.

I know this movie isn't a straight up biopic and that it's very loosely based on one or several R&B groups from that time period (The Dells in particular if I'm not mistaken), but I focused on the film itself overall... I didn't want to cloud the episode with a bunch of mix and match facts I wasn't sure of. But all in all, this has always been a home run for me. There's the music, but there's also the magic and madness displayed behind that. And the performances are the icing on the cake. It takes you through just about every emotion there is, and has such a soulful ending. Enjoy, people.

We got us another creature feature on our hands but this time, it's from the hands of the same director of The Chernobyl Diaries... I haven't seen that one fully but I'm a sucker for found footage stuff, so I may soon. I hadn't heard a single word about this film at all but if it's a monster on the loose, practical effects to be seen, and cherry pie to be splattered, I'm all for a go round here. Enjoy, y'all.

Better late than never, but I couldn't miss out on telling y'all my crazy theories and overall thoughts on this last trailer... While pretty tame for a Super Bowl spot (they drove a car through a skyscraper in the Furious 7 Super Bowl spot for God's sake), there are sooo many things running through my mind as far as what they showcase here. Black superheroes, for better or worse, have been around long before Black Panther made cinematic history on the big screen... Some comic book material based, and others being original ideas. Either way, I'm here for all the diversity and proper depictions of us on any screen. There's been some hits and misses overall, but I had to take time out to celebrate and discuss the males and females who have paved the way and are setting the tone for newcomers. Enjoy, people.

I recently went back and checked this one out, and I quickly remembered why it has always stood out to me... But funny enough, it seems to go unnoticed amongst the majority of horror/thriller fans out here. The flaws are far and few in between for me, but the film overall is certainly one of the more creative whodunits to come out of the entire 2000s era of the genre. It was only right I discussed this one, and gave it it's proper dues. Enjoy, folks.

There's a lot of dumb ass ideas I can let slide in front of my on screen... This not being one of them. As if this kid hasn't terrorized the music industry enough with shitty music, he has to now venture off into the film industry. And into a film based off of one of my favorite childhood games. So in the words of a winner of an Uno game, "I'm out". Enjoy, y'all.

When you think of 90s/2000s slashers, you may automatically think of Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, or Urban Legend... But this is a slasher movie to ride that wave and not only be mature about it, but not go overboard with the in your face references, or try to be something it's not. I have always had much respect for this film and it's director, since he did Urban Legend. But this was more of a test of how mature and well written/executed a "common" slasher could actually be. It's great. Enjoy, people.
