Alright, alright... I will give this a fair shot. But only because I consider myself a fair man at the end of the day. Enjoy, folks.

I didn't expect to see this just yet but there was some brief news earlier about both a US and Japanese remake of Cube, which took me by surprise... And since I'm an overall big fan of the original film, of course I had to check this one out. The original Cube is such an underrated gem to me, and it's got a great sense of claustrophobia to it, which adds to how the characters are quickly able to turn on each other in the midst of being trapped in an unknown structure. Equipped with fatal traps. The sequels aren't great, but this is still a great concept nonetheless. So it'll be interesting to see how intricate and vicious an overseas remake can get. Enjoy, folks.

There's been a huge shortage of vampire films honestly... Good ones anyway. With the exception of things like the Twilight series, there hasn't been a big enough vampire property to generate an insane buzz across cinema, which pisses me off. These types of flicks are the only time in my life where I don't want to be sucker free, because I do enjoy a good bloody vamp go round. But there's definitely more than a few that stand out as far as I'm concerned. And that goes for both the vampires themselves and the characters up against them. Enjoy, y'all.

Leatherface always had the insane potential to be one of the horror genre's most imposing and relevant slashers ever... But numerous writers, directors, and sequels clearly had other plans for the crazed cannibal. It sucks too, since he's one of the slashers that was loosely but very closely based on real life serial killer, Ed Gein (the events and crime scene callbacks are spot on at times during the series). So with eight entries total, a shitty mess of continuity and a seesaw of quality overall, someone figured the time has come for a direct sequel to the 1974 classic. Again. We've been here before. But somehow, we're back on that same dirt road that's about to take us to the Sawyer clan once again. And for some reason(s), people aren't as gassed up as the new chainsaw is about to be. So I explain why I think that's so. Enjoy, people.

When it comes to zombie flicks, y'all know Night Of The Living Dead 1968 is my heart and soul... But one of the movies that completely changed my perspective on zombies was The Return Of The Living Dead. For the uninitiated, it was a certified landmark film in the genre, and introduced a whole new backstory for what made zombies tick. There were new rules that weren't to be tampered with if you wanted to survive, and this paved the way for a wave of zombie flicks that came after. But this series overall has little to no continuity at all, and should've had a much better run through at the end of the day. Enjoy, y'all.

As much as I always wanted another entry to The Mighty Ducks, I never thought I'd see it happen... But Disney+ has shown me, a few times, to never say "never". Not only is the quacking about to commence on the ice again, but both original trilogy writer Steven Brill and star Emilio Estevez are back on board here. But with my excitement comes my concerns as well. So I took some time out to backtrack on the original series and what was loved about it, and what can go wrong/right with this new series coming. I won't lie, I started running out of steam after a while when I was covering this series... I'm sure y'all will hear it in full towards the end of the episode, but I survived. This series isn't all bad. But the bad certainly does outweigh the good overall, at least from a franchise point of view. It's all over the place, much like a Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, or Hellraiser. But there are some key components that stand out for sure in this bizarre series, so I preach the praises where need be. But I also call out the "corny" entries and moments as well. Enjoy, people.

In the wake of losing beloved actress and just overall amazing soul Cicely Tyson, this episode was a MUST... Yes, she has a plethora of films and tv credits to her name. But every single time I think of her, I think of how much of a bad ass she was in this movie overall. While she's not in it as much as I'd like, she's luckily got a certified powerhouse cast to back her up in her absence. From Laurence Fishburne to Tim Roth, this is a gangster film I think is pretty underrated and so well put together by actor/director Bill Duke. Rest Easy, Madame Queen. Enjoy, folks.

I won't lie to y'all when I say I almost got choked up by how passionate I felt about this particular episode... If you listen close enough, you hear it at some point. But because I feel like there's this strange narrative for black women in the film industry, I wanted to speak my piece and let them know I am 200% behind what they're standing for, and 300% proud of what's happening. Black Queens, this is an episode dedicated to y'all and the hard work being put into film, both on and off screen. It's much appreciated. Enjoy, people.

Cue my sigh... First of all, let me say that I enjoy even the worst guilty pleasures on screen. This is someone who loves the Doom, Battleship, and G.I. Joe flicks for what they are. But this is a bit different in the sense that I didn't expect ANY of this from a FT13th sequel. We've been off the rails before with a telekinetic teen against Jason, a blatant teleporting Jason, etc. But this is unlike any film in the series, and the majority of that is not for the better. But I do give it credit where it's due throughout. You will see. The good, and the BAAAAD here. Enjoy, people.
