Sleepless nights may often mean that I should be doing one of two things: writing or recording... And since today marks a special day in horror history for me, I decided to take a look back at a bunch of my favorite demons. Outside of the demons being on point here, this is one of the best motley crew type casts I've seen in a horror siege film. So add those elements together and throw in Billy Zane in his prime, and you come out with this underrated gem. Enjoy, people.

Every time I hear a Billie Holiday song, it makes me want to sit in a lounge chair with a glass of scotch and just space out to her voice... Her music and era was way before my time but since I grew up on good music, I have an ear for the most nostalgic pieces of it. But this here will be so much more than just a music based biopic on screen. And I'm fine with that. It gives myself and others a better look at what went down with this woman who will forever be remembered for things other than just her musical catalog. Enjoy, y'all.

Hollywood is notorious for getting greedy and wanting sequels after seeing the success of an original film... But that doesn't mean that thr star actors or directors share the same sentiment. I go back and forth with the idea of sequels because some of them are so hit/miss, there was no need to taint the first one. These examples I talk about here are the same hit/miss thing for me, but I'm sure plenty of fans of the originals would beg to differ. So let's see. Enjoy, folks.

With all the excitement surrounding these next two Halloween sequels, which will be the final entries in this particular timeline, there's always a question lingering in the back of my head: where do they go from there?... There's no doubt in my mind that Blumhouse will continue making sequels if all goes well, but it's always a matter of what they do and how they do it. The possibilities for a Halloween film are pretty endless, but these sequel ideas are just a few that came to mind. Enjoy, folks.

This trailer goes out of it's way to let the viewers know "This is not a love story", and that "This is the story of love"... Noted. But when we're talking black cinema and romantic comedies or just romantically driven films overall, The Photograph is still at the top as one of the best since Love Jones. But something about the Indie feel and simplicity is what is interesting about this here. My biggest take away from this is how strange an on screen couple casting John David Washington and Zendaya are. But we shall see. Enjoy, people.

What a find... This was always one of my favorite movies growing up, and still is. The fact that this is a very metta comedy which breaks the fourth wall continuously throughout has always been one of it's strengths. Before Austin Powers, this was the role that made Mike Myers a national treasure for me, regardless of his critical bad apple films he has done. Also the Bohemian Rhapsody sequence is one of the best scenes in cinematic history. Enjoy, folks.

The old saying goes "There's a time and a place for everything"... But try telling that to a money hungry box office behemoth like Disney/Marvel. That's not to say that I don't thoroughly enjoy many of their films, because I do, but this is one move they're about to make that will make or break my trust with them. With the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, Black Panther 2 still seems to be very much about to be in production this summer. And these are the reasons why I think it's a terrible idea. All I have to say is "wow"... I was at a loss for words when the news first broke that Michael Keaton was not only returning to play Batman in The Flash solo film, but that he's set to be the DCEU's main Batman. Yes, it threw me off as well. So I finally figured out the words to describe both my joy and my concern. Enjoy, y'all.

Another commentary that is way overdue... I haven't covered much of the Terminator series, except for an early Dark Fate review (which I will revisit soon) and a reboot idea, so it was time for me and one of my Day 1 homies to get with this nostalgic classic. Me and this guy have known each other since middle school and one of the things that we always poked fun at was this here flick, even the unintentionally funny moments. So what better to do than to start the week off both goofing off and being on point about James Cameron's breakthrough film? Enjoy, folks.

Before anybody gets the wrong idea, let me just say that (if I haven't said it during every other episode at some point) this guy is my favorite writer/director and NOTLD is my favorite movie of all time... But with every director's legacy comes the growing pains of learning every film you make won't get the same response. In this case, and while not all the films are terrible at all, the "Dead" saga has had it's fair share of ups and downs as time went on. For a series that started with sooo much promise, there were some major mistakes made on the Legend's behalf, so I had to vent about it. Enjoy, people.
