Leviathan, Deep Rising, even movies like Virus... Safe to say I'm a sucker for either sea monsters or just crews at sea flicks in the horror genre. The idea of an unknown creature coming after you on their turf, which is already frightening enough, is nightmare inducing for me. This dates back to when I was heavy into oceanography as a kid. So I always wondered what was the big boss just waiting at the bottom of the ocean floor. And this movie showed me that. Enjoy, y'all.

I couldn't pass up the chance to cover this classic gem before it vanished from the free movies section... I've honestly been wanting to do this since the news of the race swap remake, which I'm actually fully against. There's just too much flair in this movie that captures the essence of the 90s era, in more ways than several. And due to the fact that this title is misleading (yes, it is), I love it nonetheless. Just when I had the chance to cap off the original Scream series with the very first movie, I couldn't resist... This is a Scream title that truly turned me around after more than a few watches. I learned to appreciate how much diversity was injected into the title this time around, and how they took the meta dynamic to a whole different level. Perfect for a Scream property? Not quite. But relatable in a way the other flicks haven't been? Hell yes. Enjoy, folks.

I kept it a complete bean with y'all when I said I have never even seen the 1995 version of Castle Freak... I'm sure I'm long overdue for a watch, so that'll happen soon enough. But the idea of the remake had me curious still, especially since original star Barbara Crampton is producing this here. So we shall see. Enjoy, people.

When it comes to slashers, of course this guy is in my top 3 of all time... Regardless of whether I have to be asleep to get the full effect of his wrath, it still sticks, at least when he is scary. Like he is here. This is the first time, and rightfully so, that Freddy Kruger is scary and a damn mess. He would go on to become a stand up comic in his own films, but this is the one that broke barriers and the mold in horror cinema. Enjoy, people.

My favorite entry in my favorite action franchise... I think that speaks for itself. I sacrificed a lot of rest and relaxation for this, so I hope everyone gets the idea. This is special to me. So I cannot type anymore at 5:30am, when I'm already running on fumes. Enjoy, y'all.

And to think I was having a bit of a mental block today, as far as content goes... I should've tackled this classic ages ago. John Singleton broke so many barriers with this directorial debut, and for damn good reason. The fact that this still hits on so many levels in today's society speaks so many volumes for me. I don't think I've ever appreciated this movie as much as I do these days. Enjoy, folks.

This title should've been a red flag for me from the jump... But because Mena Suvari was in the headline here, I was intrigued. I think she's a fine actress, but I wish she was in way better flicks. After the Day Of The Dead remake, she's returned back to the horror genre with a typical wicked stepfather go round, but with a monster movie twist. For something we've seen done to death put a creature feature spin seems cool. I hope. Enjoy, people.

This was a flick I had seen around when it first came out back in 2016 or so but when people rave about a horror movie or movie in general, I never buy into the hype... It just never works out. But a few of the fellow CineManiacs had recommended this to me and others voted for it to be one of my next episodes, so here it is. I'll let the listeners see how this plays out, but all I'll say is that this movie was not what I was expecting. At all. Enjoy, y'all.

I remember Blumhouse dropped a simple and subtle poster for this movie, and it actually had me pretty interested in the idea... And this is coming from someone who isn't too big on the original yet loves the 2006 remake to death. Being as though Blumhouse has a hit or miss record with their movies, I gave them the benefit of the doubt with this one here. Nope. Nope, they showed me that Christmas isn't always for everyone. What a lame attempt to remake a remake, and use it as a platform for feminazi undertones and stereotypical men bashing in general. Not cool at all. Enjoy, people.
