TV is AWESOME

We're blasting our way through Ozark Season 4! This time Wendy is hating on Ruth while making some really un-Wendy-like bad decisions. Agent Maya comes face to face with Navarro.  Wendy and Marty disagree on Jonah, but seem to agree on most everything else. Charlotte has a heart to heart with Erin in Chicago while Wendy and Marty have a big meeting with Clare.  Darlene takes out ANOTHER person with a shotgun, which should give her lover (gross), Wyatt, a wake up call... but it doesn't. Javi is still the worst person on this show. Kerry Stone dips into his own supply with very bad results.  And Wendy's dad makes a long  awaited appearance in the form of John Boy Walton!

Let Season 4 of Ozark commence! We begin with a flash forward to the future where something seriously terrible seems to be happening to the Byrdes! Then, we zip right back to where we left Marty and Wendy at the end of Season 4... covered in Helen's brains. After Wendy delicately dabs away ineffectually (sorry, Wen, but I think you're gonna need to wash that hair), we're introduced to the WORST new character, Javi.

Back home, Ruth is wheelin' and dealin', while finding the just the right goat cookie jar to keep Ben's ashes. We meet another new character, Mel, the private investigator, and say goodbye to an old one, Sheriff Nix (oh Nix, you weren't very good at your job).  Wendy cooks up a deal with big pharma, threatens Agent Maya, and tries to connect with a very angry Jonah.

It's our big Ozark Season 3 wrap up! As we finish off this dramatic season of the show, lots of our favorite characters... get finished off.  So much drama! Ben continues to make one bad decision after another leading to a road trip from hell with Wendy.  Erin gets a truth download from the Byrde kids that confirms everything Ben told her.  Helen is NOT happy about it. Wendy drinks car vodka in a Walmart parking lot.

Meanwhile, Ruth turns on "bitch wolf" Wendy and Marty, reunites with Wyatt, and gets a new, unexpected ally.  Wyatt chews really loudly.  Helen makes a move against the Byrdes, and it backfires on her in a VERY big way.

TV Watchers, we're nearing the end of Ozark Season 3! In this episode, we talk about the fate of Sue (the sports car was a bad idea). Something awful happens to Ruth, and we're still not over it.  Ben goes rogue and confronts the last person in the world he should be confronting.  Meanwhile, Helen has her super observant evil eye on everything, which is very bad news, not only for the Byrdes but for everyone else too.

TV Watchers, we're back with an episode on 2 more episodes of Ozark as we continue on our high-speed Acela express watch! Marty is back from his Mexican vacation in the torture dungeon, and all is great (yeah right) as he and Wendy rush off to buy a horse farm in Kentucky under Navarro's orders.  Which seems to go very suspiciously well at first, then goes very wrong in typical Ozark fashion. Ruth and Ben are super cute, but why doesn't Ruth have a house yet?!  And Ben is off his meds, uh oh. Sue IS a real therapist, but she let's Wendy and Marty know she's been taking bribes from both of them. Plus, she's gonna need a shitload of money to keep their secrets. Something UNSPEAKABLE happens between Darlene and Wyatt (gah!).  And it only took us three seasons to realize that the symbols in the "O" spell out Ozark!

TV Watchers, after last week's brief digression on "Severance", we're back with our epic high-speed Acela watch of OZARK!  We're covering season 3 episodes "Kevin Cronin" and "Boss Fight" - and as always, we've got a lot on our minds!

First, can Wendy and Marty please get on the same page, because we prefer these two as a team.  The trouble is that Wendy is SPECTACULAR (as everyone on the show keeps telling us). But Helen (that giant woman) gets all the best lines (while being really really terrifying).  Once again, we debate how old the kids are in the time black hole that is this show (Jonah is 14?!?). And Marty gets KIDNAPPED!

Plus, we get some nice Wendy and Ben bonding, Wendy and Helen are some mean b-words, we wonder wtf is up with Navarro, Agent Maya offers Marty a seemingly awesome deal, and poor Gladys has another amazing death scene.

TV Watchers, we're taking a brief break from our epic OZARK watch to bring you a very special bonus episode on SEVERANCE! We can't get enough of this Apple TV+ series sensation!  We have SO MANY QUESTIONS. What's up with the baby goats?  What's up with Ms. Cobel's accent? What's up with Ms. Cobel?  Why are Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, John Turturro, and everyone else so freaking great on this show?!  How does Helly R. get off the stage?  Why won't Devon put the baby down for one second?  Is Gemma really alive?  Is she a clone?  Did Adam Scott live in Lisa's air b&b?  Has Mark never seen a crime show?  Could dinner parties with no food become a real thing?

TV Watchers, we begin season 3 of OZARK with a couple of killer episodes - and because this is OZARK, we really mean "killer"!  First, how far in the future are we??? (Spoiler:  we never really figure it out.)  Everybody is up to new stuff! Ruth is running the day to day operations at the casino (and shoving mobsters off the top of the boat), Wyatt is living in some fancy house, and Char is working for Wendy (!). Wendy and Marty are NOT on the same page and we are NOT here for it.  We also get some new characters, Agent Maya, Wendy's brother, Ben, and our beloved Gladys from The Leftovers! Plus, Wendy gets all weird breaking and entering into the former Byrde homestead.

TV Watchers, our Acela express OZARK watch goes into overdrive with our epic Season 2 wrap-up covering 4, count 'em, 4 episodes!  So, a whole bunch of stuff is happening, as it always is in the Ozark(s).  Marty kicks the family's escape plan in high gear... but Wendy has something different in mind (lots of good face acting from Laura Linney!)  Darlene also makes a shocking unilateral move and also furiously peels potatoes.  Mason loses it, Charlotte tries to get emancipated, Wyatt gets into college (via letter, so old school), Ruth's big secret comes out, baby Zeke falls into the wrong hands, and we decide that everyone on this show needs therapy.  Plus, it's peace out to a bunch of characters who exit in various fashions.

TV Watchers, the Acela OZARK express continues as we cover two more episodes of "Ozark: Season 2"! This time it's "Game Day" and "Outer Darkness".  The Byrde's are caught in the cross-hairs of the FBI... and let me tell you, there is NOTHING worse than an ascendant Agent Petty.  Marty finds out a whole bunch of stuff he didn't know.  It seems inevitable that Darlene will get her hands on poor little Zeke.  Charlotte's stash of cash gets discovered (lay off the pot Char).  And Helen does something really bad to Ruth.  We say a very sad and heartfelt goodbye to our beloved Buddy.  Plus, how is moving around all those bones going to throw the FBI off the scent??
