TV is AWESOME

TV Watchers, we're back! And we'll be releasing lots of episodes in the next few weeks as we continue on the Acela OZARK express! This time,  we talk about season 2 episodes "Once a Langmore" and "Stag".  Rachel is back after living high on the hog with the stolen money (emphasis on high), and the totally unhinged Agent Petty's got his claws in her.  Jonah shoots a deer, he's got his grade hustle going on, and how old is this kid anyway?!  Ruth punches a guidance counselor who really had it coming.  We meet Ghost Russ who sings! And Marty gives Buddy a shave (tears).

TV Watchers... it's SEASON 2 OF OZARK!  We are on the super Acela OZARK fast track! This time,  we discuss "Reparations" and "The Precious Blood of Jesus".  Listeners, we have a functional Marty and Wendy team, working together to make this casino plan a reality. Ruth's daddy, Cade, is out of jail and being creepy. Cartel lawyer shows up looking for the missing Del - she tells Marty she'll kill his family, and Marty's like, been there.

Meanwhile, Darlene wants to adopt (whaaaaaatttt??!!), Wendy gets into politics, Rachel returns (!), and so does Petty (frowny face).  Plus, more bad Byrde parenting.

TV Watchers,  we're wrapping up  season 1 of OZARK with a deep dive into the last three episodes!  We get a flashback to the happier and not so happier days when the Byrds made their fateful decision to go all in on money laundering for the cartel. Which immediately turns out to be a bad decision. Ruth chooses team Byrd which puts her at odds with her uncles.  Marty renews his prescription to Paxil.  Del dumps a whole new boatload of cash on Marty to launder (some of which Rachel steals and runs away with).  Del also calls the Snell clan a bunch rednecks - a very bad idea. Wendy and kids get into a life and death situation, but Buddy comes to the rescue.  Plus, our predictions for season 2!

On this week's OZARK: can a creepy undercover FBI agent and his hillbilly bf beat the odds and start a bait and tackle shop?? TV Watchers, this is just one of the twists and turns that have us on the edge of our seats in episode 7 of season 1: "Nest Box"!  As Petty and Russ make plans that can't possibly come to fruition, our favorite Langmore, Ruth, visits her very sinister dad in jail. Who tells her that she absolutely must go through with the plan to kill Marty.  Marty makes a really un-Marty-like decision to reveal a secret. Is he off his Paxil? He also has a very serious discussion with Wendy where they let it all hang out while Charlotte may or may not be drowning. Plus, we continue to work through the nuances of Marty's money laundering scheme.

We're halfway through Ozark Season 1, and this time we're focused on everyone's favorite teen crime queen, Ruth Langmore! She goes through with her plan to take out Marty even though she's really ambivalent about it.

Marty's taking hits from all sides as the Snells smack him down over building the church and Rachel/PJ finds out he's cooking the Blue Cat's books. He's also having really awkward sex with Wendy that leads her to discover a certain video on his laptop. Charlotte makes a big choice. And one of your hosts gets really confused about whose money is getting laundered.

Hello TV Watchers!  After a brief pause to chat about Ted Lasso Season 2, we're back on OZARK with episode 5 of season 1, "Ruling Days".  We get things kicked off with a most unwelcome gift left by the Snells at the Byrde's dock: the body of Bobby Dean. Good riddance, BD! Of course, everyone in town thinks Marty is responsible... not that they're too concerned about it.

Meanwhile, Wendy gets an unexpected out-of-town guest, Charlotte flirts with Vineyard Vines, Jonah learns to shoot. Ruth beats up a stripper while proving to be an excellent strip club manager, Agent Petty makes an surprise connection, and the Byrdes go to boat church!

TV lovers, it's finally making time to talk about Ted Lasso Season 2! It's our wrap-up extravaganza and we leave no topic unexplored!  We're wondering why we now hate Nate,  if we like Rebecca and Sam together, and why it feels like it takes too long for the season to kick into gear.  Also, how many presents do Rebecca and Ted really have time to give out (and how bad is that Christmas episode anyway)?  What's up with the Coach Beard Ep? How AMAZING is f*****g Roy Kent? Why do they need to make up drama for Roy and Keely? And, we're starting a petition to bring back Dr. Sharon in season 3 to FIX NATE!

Hello, TV watchers! This week, we're chatting about episode 4 of the first season of "Ozark" - "Tonight We Improvise" - which happens to be the TV is Awesome motto! The tension is starting to ratchet up as Dell questions Marty about where his millions are. Paxil Marty needs to go into overdrive, and he drafts Ruth to help him steal a safe from Bobby Dean's office.  Wendy and Marty think Jonah might be a psycho, but the poor kid's just into vultures. TV watchers, this time we're talking about the third episode of Ozark (no 's') season 1, "My Dripping Sleep"! Beware:  Charlotte's got a mean right hook, and she's going to use it, even if it means not getting that job at the Blouse Barn.  FBI agent #2 offers what seems like a good deal to Marty and Wendy who can really come together as a united front when they have to.  Poor Jonah is watching the vultures, Wendy throws a dead animal carcass at Wyatt,  Ruth points out to her uncles that two female bobcats are a bad business deal, and Marty starts getting personal messages from Sarah McLachlan through the TV.  Plus, what is dripping sleep anyway? After a short summer hiatus, we are back talking all things TV! This week, we cover the second episode of OZARK Season 1: "Blue Cat". It features Paxil Marty at his most "Paxily" as he confronts the Langmores in their lair with only a pocket knife and his persuasive skills to defend himself. But before that, Wendy puches him in the face; we meet Ruth Langmore, a very smart and very dangerous 19 year-old con artist who steals the Byrde's cash; Charlotte gets thrown off a boat; PJ from "My Boys" pops up; and Wendy buys a house on a lake that comes with a tenant. Plus, we try to figure out what the symbols in the "O" mean.  [TV is Awesome Season 2: Episode 4]
