  • Scion “Under the Lonely Sky” Chapter 1: Smoke on a Starless Night

On an almost empty Wyoming highway, three scions—Alex Hollinger, Farö Midand, and Blanca Morales—are hours deep into a road trip that was never really theirs to refuse. Frayed nerves, cramped seats, and clashing ideas of leadership are bad enough… until they realize the night sky above them is nearly empty of stars. A strange column of smoke on the horizon and a stampede of ash-marked centaurs force the trio off script and into the small town of Douglas, where a dented divine car and a friendly trucker are the least unsettling things they’ll encounter. Under the lonely sky, something is wrong, and their gods’ orders suddenly feel more ominous than divine.

    About the Chronicle

Scion: Under the Lonely Sky is a Scion Second Edition one-shot by Twin Cities by Night. It follows three modern demigods on a northbound road trip toward the Canadian wilderness, pushed along by the whims of their divine patrons. What starts as cramped-car bickering and casual mythic banter quickly becomes a tale of eerie omens, small-town tension, and the thin line between the mortal world and the beings who move behind it. Featuring Becca, Jorin, and Slavic, this story blends road-trip drama, mythic weirdness, and creeping unease beneath a sky that refuses to shine.

  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Twin Cities by Night “Eidolon” Chapter 12: Death Masks

In Death Masks, Marco Giovanni returns to Rita’s secluded estate—where apology and devotion intertwine in chilling ritual. What begins as a confession unfolds into revelation, forcing Marco to face the truth about loyalty, power, and the family’s ancient expectations. Beneath the surface of civility lies ceremony older than Venice itself, and a descent that blurs where faith ends and the grave begins.

This chapter of Idolon captures the essence of the Giovanni clan’s legacy—measured, elegant horror layered in history and quiet dread.

    About the Chronicle

“Eidolon” is the fourth major arc in the Twin Cities by Night Vampire: the Masquerade continuity — following Negligence, Homecoming, and Dread — yet it also stands alone as an introspective, horror-laced drama.

Set in the fall of 2010, Eidolon explores themes of death, obligation, and the unseen cost of power. The story follows Marco Giovanni, a necromancer drawn into the Twin Cities by the command of an elder, where he must expand his clan’s reach while contending with his own haunted past.

A duet chronicle between Adam (as Marco Giovanni) and Chris (as Storyteller), Eidolon continues Twin Cities by Night’s tradition of exploring the personal horror at the heart of Vampire: the Masquerade — this time, through the eyes of one man bound by ghosts both living and dead.

  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Twin Cities by Night “Eidolon” Chapter 11: The Cost of Control

The night begins with blood, silence, and the weight of choices that cannot be undone. Marco Giovanni and Jamie find themselves deep in the consequences of survival, bound together by secrecy and necessity. What was meant to be a simple hunt spirals into something far more revealing—about Marco’s nature, his guilt, and the quiet, consuming hunger that drives him.

As the pair retreat from the chaos, conversation turns into confrontation. Jamie challenges Marco’s growing recklessness and forces him to reckon with what he’s becoming. Beneath the surface, threads of family, loyalty, and shame tighten, drawing both of them closer to the truth about Rita Giovanni’s intentions and the unspoken question: why was Marco really sent to the Twin Cities?

A late-night drive becomes a confessional, where the line between duty and damnation blurs. In the end, Marco and Jamie set their sights on the only person who can give them clarity—and perhaps absolution—before everything unravels.

  • 13th Age “The Beginning of the End” Chapter 9: Before the Blackened Walls

With Dragon Hall saved and an army of monsters and allies at their back, Sir Hugo, the King, Hexar, and Hezerella march toward the fallen city of Fourstar Nagar, where the Diabolist has rooted herself in corruption and shadow. On the long road north, the company is forced into hard choices: how to feed a vast host without destroying the land they hope to save, which brutal allies to trust with their flanks, and how to take a cursed border city that stands between them and their goal. When dire news arrives from the heart of the Empire, the question of what to tell their soldiers becomes as dangerous as any blade. By the time the warhost reaches the blackened walls of Fourstar Nagar and the final siege begins, every decision they’ve made has shaped the army—and the fragile hope they carry into the Diabolist’s lair.

  • Monsterhearts 2 "F*ck, Marry, Kill" Chapter 6: The Liar’s Light

Secrets ripple through the dorm in the uneasy hours after the Halloween party. Sam, determined to protect Kylie and keep suspicion off himself, discovers that someone has scrawled a vicious rumor about her across the monastery plaque—and the vandal got brazen enough to do it right under the dorm’s “hidden” security camera. While Sam tries to trace who might be behind it, Kylie narrows her list of suspects and pulls Morgana into a more dangerous kind of investigation.

Upstairs, Morgana prepares a full ritual circle—candles, incense, water, the whole forest-sound soundtrack—to read the truth hidden inside a sympathetic token. Kylie brings her Jamie’s lighter, setting off a scrying that reveals far more than either expected: glimpses of the RA’s path through the night, money changing hands, and expressions on certain faces that don’t look quite right.

But downstairs, chaos is building. A scream splits the party as Erica collapses at the bar, Jennifer’s temper snaps, and Aleandro finds himself on the wrong end of a pair of scissors. By the time Sam steps between them, it’s too late to pretend the night is salvageable.

Rumors were the problem before. Now the truth might be even worse.

    About the Chronicle

F*ck, Marry, Kill is a Monsterhearts 2 story by Twin Cities by Night, a game of monstrous adolescence where identity, longing, and supernatural instinct collide in painfully human ways. Combining the emotional vulnerability of teenage drama with the dangerous agency of creatures trying to understand their monstrosity, this chronicle explores connection, betrayal, intimacy, and the hunger to be seen for what you are—no matter the cost.

  • Monsterhearts 2 "F*ck, Marry, Kill" Chapter 5: Rumors and Remains

In the uneasy quiet after the Halloween party’s high point, everything becomes about what people think they saw. Kylie is focused on damage control: scrubbing away blood, corralling a disastrously drunk Megan, and making sure her queen-bee image doesn’t crack. Sam, rattled by what he and Kylie stumbled over on the hill, tries to get ahead of the story—reporting it to the RA in a way that won’t put a target on his back or drag Kylie into the fallout. Morgana, meanwhile, turns to the internet and her occult circles, translating her unsettling vision into a “hidden witch” post that brings back chilling possibilities about spirits, parasites, and borrowed skins. Lydia’s reappearance calms one kind of panic, but as rumors start to spread and people quietly pick sides, it becomes clear the real trouble isn’t what’s in the grass—it’s what’s now lodged in everyone’s heads.

On the deck of the Lich King’s flagship, the disguise is gone and subtlety burns away in the first clash of steel and spellfire. Hemmed in by ghoul packs, stitched monstrosities, and the suffocating weight of necromantic magic, Sir Hugo, the King, Hexar, and Hezerella are forced to gamble everything on a desperate push through the dead to reach the enemy admiral at the heart of the invasion. As bodies fall and souls are strained past their limits, each decision on the blood-slick planks of that ship ripples outward—toward the fate of the fleet, the besieged city of Axxis, and whatever darker designs are still waiting beyond this single, terrible victory.

What begins as a stealthy ascent through cramped decks, eerie red command-lights, and morbid caretakers soon erupts into open battle on the blood-slicked deck, as the companions carve a path toward the hidden admiral and his stitched monstrosities—only to discover that every step closer to their target is paid for in pain, exhaustion, and burning necromantic wrath.

  • Call of Cthulhu: Down Darker Trails "Missouri Crossing" Chapter 12: The Shape of a Town

As the settlers take their first uneasy steps inside Missouri Crossing, each discovers a different face of the growing frontier camp. Gregory reunites with his younger brother at the cavalry fort and learns just how thin the line of order truly is. Bjorn tests the waters of the Silver Dollar Saloon—only to find chaos, mockery, and the town’s roughest edges laid bare. And Sister Margaret begins to grasp just how deeply sin and desperation run through a place with no families, no church, and no real law.

A gunshot in the street breaks any illusion of safety, forcing the three to regroup and confront the reality of the town they plan to call home. With danger woven into daily life and the promise of work and land pulling them forward, the settlers must decide how to build something decent in a place that barely remembers what decency looks like.

    About the Chronicle

Call of Cthulhu – Down Darker Trails: Missouri Crossing is a Western horror campaign set in 1867, using the Down Darker Trails supplement for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The story follows the founding generations of Missouri Crossing, a rough camp town in what will one day become Bismarck, North Dakota—decades before the events of The Ultimate Evil. As immigrants, veterans, and drifters stake their claim on a cold, contested landscape, they must navigate community, lawlessness, prejudice, and the brutal realities of frontier life. Against this backdrop of manifest destiny, “northern horror” takes shape: long distances, bitter weather, scarce resources, and the creeping realization that some things lurking beyond the firelight are far worse than bandits or hunger.
