Hello Friends and Family! We are beginning our services today with baptisms. Each person baptized is “going public for Jesus” as they declare their faith for all to see. Our faith in Jesus was never meant to be a personal, private relationship – even though it is deeply personal and private – and baptism is the way the New Testament tells us to let people know we are now a follower of Jesus. As we watch these people making a bold statement about their faith, let’s celebrate them and remember that they represent the core of all we do as a church. We’re in the third week of our “Life Apps” series as we are going to the Bible to learn how to follow Jesus and make life work better. The key is that we have to do more than just learn what the Bible says, we also have to APPly it. That’s what Apps do. They help us do life better. Our prayer is that each one of us will hear and encounter God in a clear and personal way while we’re together.“The Arena: Inspiring a Generation of Champions” is about what can happen as we move beyond our fears and give our all to the race God has set before us. It’s about the encouragement we can get from studying God’s Hall of Faith from Hebrews 11. These are God’s gold medal winners who can inspire us to be all we can as we walk with God.Today, we’ll be taking a broad brushstroke at several of the characters who were able, by faith, to overcome their weaknesses and be used in positive ways to influence others. We’ll all relate because we’re all weak in some ways. Isn’t it great to know that God takes us as we are and allows us to be in process with Him?
