We’re back from New Zealand, and our attempts to start the decade with a light-hearted and joyful review of our travels were thwarted by canceled YouTuber Contrapoints releasing a new video about cancellation, and the US assassinating an Iranian general who liberals will rush to tell you was very very bad.

While we’re off galavanting in New Zealand, the format of this show has been replaced by answers to questions on dating, politics, and life advice that you, the listener, wanted answered! This format was definitely ripped off from Red Scare, so like… we’re really only doing this to silence and de-center the voices of women. We answer important questions about Richard Wolff, counter-revolutionary bears, and help a listener decode some unexpected post-date behavior.

Welcome! Step inside, take a small glass of champagne, engage in some HR-approved frivolity! We’re taking you on a whirlwind tour of some awful intersections between Christmas, the gays, and consumerism. Turns out there’s more than a few of them.

We do a little bit of Monday-morning quarterbacking of the UK election, while also trying our hand at a sports metaphor for the first and last time. We check in on the left’s response to accusations of antisemitism, and a few of the upstart candidates who are extremely online and are posting cringe on main. Finally, we solve the issue of straight-passing privilege once and for all.

On the eve of the UK general election, we take a grand tour of the motherland and then the continent. We discuss Comrade Corbyn’s dastardly plans, the French going on strike, and some Italian prosecutor calling the mafia gay. Our discussion of Trump’s PrEP plan turns into a basic remedial sexual health lesson, and we check in on the “Homophobes for Bernie” movement that is definitely real and 100% actually really exists for sure.

We discuss Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Shit-you-don’t-need Sunday, Cyber Monday, and “Giving” Tuesday. We’re predictably complimentary about all of these important cultural touchstones. We check in on anti-Vegan Twitter and find them having a gasoline-free normal one. Also, an asexual person was kicked out of home for not having enough gay sex, or something?

We discuss finding your chosen family among Juggalos, the folk history of being on meth in South Dakota, thanksgiving traditions worth being thankful for, and there being power in a union. There’s vegan thanksgiving recipes delivered in excruciating detail - be sure to take notes. We also cover how J.K. Rowling invented labor activism by inventing house elves who are basically slaves but with euphemisms involved.

We discuss Mayor Peter (a most pious and inspiring leader of men) and read some Žižek without attempting the accent or affecting any sniffing. Straight girls on TikTok are self-identifying as bottoms now, which *sniff* we claim *sniff* is actually just *sniff* a product of commodification. Iran’s gas crisis being weaponized in service of progressive pinkwashing is discussed without us attempting to imitate Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Gian and Sam are sick and tired (in that order), but the neoliberal onslaught never rests, and they’ve been back on their bullshit in Bolivia. We spend a lot of time giving you fun Bolivia talking points you can share with elderly relatives at the Thanksgiving table to get yourself disinherited.
