  • Getting Out of a Creative RUT! with Craig Colvin
In this episode, fine art photographer Craig Colvin joins the show to reveal his struggles with getting out of a creative rut, and how he managed to get his groove back.

    http://www.craigcolvinphotography.com
    Craig, in his own words...
I am a photographer and educator located in San Jose, CA.

I love taking photographs and am most happy when my finger is on the shutter button. My primary focus is using the human body as art. I express this in many forms but my goal is to use the body to mimic the shapes and curves that are found in nature. They might be the gentle slope of a sand dune, a curve of a rock, or the rolling hills of a mountain range. I tend towards abstracting the body shapes so the viewer isn’t always sure at first glance if the image contains a body or not.

My passion is photography and I love sharing that passion with others. If you love photography as much as I do, you are in the right place.

An expert retoucher, Renée applies the same level of commitment to post-processing leveraging her mastery of color theory, editing, light, and shadow in the digital realm of Photoshop. Renée travels full-time, shooting for commercial and fine art clients.

  • The Importance of Scanning Your Memories
Mitch Goldstone of ScanMyPhotos.com joins me to discuss the ins-and-outs of scanning in today's high-tech world. Is scanning still relevant? What is the state-of-the-art? And what are some pitfalls that you should be aware of when choosing a company to entrust your precious family archives to.

After a recent Oprah Magazine recommendation, the company scored loads of feedback from their readers. That led to one sent a photo scanning. Scanned 4000 photos for $40.
