  • The Art of Six Figures!
In this interview Easton Reynolds breaks down how HE has broken down the process for creating high levels of repeatable income and leads from Facebook ads, as well as a steady stream of clients to his wedding photography business. You'll learn how he did it, and how you can do it too.
Check out the webinar I'm doing with Easton this week!

    About Easton
Easton Reynolds is the Founder of The Art of Six Figures, a business-changing marketing education platform for photographers. In 2012, Easton joined his wife in her New Jersey-based photography business, LuRey Photography, and immediately began putting his business background to use. LuRey Photography achieved 6 figures in its second year in business.

Over the past 6 years, Easton has used marketing prowess for his own photography business, and in 2017, he launched The Art of Six Figures Facebook Ads course, through which he has helped hundreds of photographers around the world.

Easton has been seen on the stage as a keynote speaker at "Inspire", and has taught classes for PPA in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. He has also taught at WPPI 2017, 2018, and he’s been featured in RangeFinder, Shutter Magazine, SLR Lounge and many more. Named a top 100 wedding photographer by both SLR Lounge and Brandsmash, Easton is sponsored by B&H Photo and MagMod.

One of Easton’s most notable recent accomplishments was being added to the board of advisors for a 100 Million-Dollar Investment Fund.

In addition to working with photographers, Easton also works with small businesses outside the photography industry to provide coaching and Done For You marketing services.

  • The Weekly Fifty!
In this interview, Simon Ringsmuth joins me to talk about his amazing on-going personal project — The Weekly Fifty!

Simon Ringsmuth is a Faculty member and Instructional Designer at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches undergraduate students the principles of Project Management while working with professors across campus to help them improve their teaching skills. He and his wife have two young children and in their spare time they do family and high school senior portraits for people around their community and enjoy making photography a part of their daily lives. Simon is also a regular contributor to Digital Photography School where he writes columns about cameras, software, and lots of other topics related to photography.

Since the spring of 2013, Simon has maintained a blog called Weekly Fifty where he posts one picture each Wednesday, along with explanatory text and audio commentary, as a way of helping himself learn more about photography as well as how to use his camera. He got his start with an old Nikon D200 and 50mm lens, hence the name of the blog, but he has since branched out into other cameras and lenses while staying committed to the one-shot-per-week format. This has been instrumental in helping him learn and grow as a photographer, and even after six years, he has no intention of stopping. If anything, doing the blog has helped him see how much he still has to learn about photography.

  • The Photographic Story Collector and Memory Maker

Curtis Jones started his career as a Pharmacist but quickly gave into to the call of the wild — and his camera! He now spends his time leading amazing workshops in the four corners of the globe, while making memories, telling stories and training other photographers on the finer points of travel and image-making.
    About Curtis:
It takes a certain personality to appreciate the details of a climate rarely inhabited by people. Curtis Jones has spent most of his career saturating himself in the polar regions of the planet, dividing his residency between Newfoundland and Nunavut, Canada.

Over the last decade, his adventurous lifestyle has taken him across the Gobi Desert by kite buggy, on a 2300 km unsupported traverse of the Greenland Ice Cap, Antarctica, and a lifetime of climbing and exploration worldwide. Working for both the private and public sector, he has documented work for environmental initiatives, literacy, Canadian National Parks, climate change and tourism in the Canadian Arctic.

Collaborating with world-class athletes, production teams, and local cultures and communities, he has built his career delivering a personal view of the raw, wild, and often untamed. His work has been seen in National Geographic Adventure, Canadian Geographic, The Globe and Mail, Huffington Post Canada and more. Between commercial clients, he is often seen leading photography workshops in the polar regions of the Earth, sharing his appreciation for adventure with others. A collector of interesting stories, Curtis is rarely seen far from a camera, tent, or a good punchline.

  • Making Photographs – Street Photography with Ibarionex Perello
In this interview, the podcasting legend Ibarionex Perello joins to discuss his new book "Making Photographs". We discuss the idea of "seeing" as a photographer and moving away from the gear obsession and towards getting better at your craft.

Use the code "Perello40" for 40% off your purchase of this book!
    https://rockynook.com/shop/photography/making-photographs

Ibarionex Perello is a photographer, writer, educator, and host of The Candid Frame photography podcast. He has over 25 years of experience in the photographic industry.

In his role as host and producer of The Candid Frame, he conducts frank, insightful interviews with some of the industry’s top established and emerging photographers. The popular show has featured guests including Jay Maisel, Joel Meyerowitz, Pete Turner, Lynn Goldsmith, and Gerd Ludwig, and it enjoys a following among photo enthusiasts from all over the world.

Ibarionex is also the author or co-author of six books, including his latest Making Photographs: Developing a Personal Visual Workflow. His photographs and articles have appeared in numerous publications and websites including Digital Photo Pro, Outdoor Photographer, Rangefinder, Shutterbug, and Popular Photography.

He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and their dog Zooey.

In Making Photographs, photographer Ibarionex Perello teaches you how to face and conquer two of the greatest challenges for a photographer: to consistently make good images and to see the photographic possibilities all around you.

Ibarionex shares the approach and techniques he’s honed over the last 15 years while conducting workshops and teaching photography courses to countless students of the craft. The key to this approach is to develop and implement a visual workflow that allows you to create a repeatable process for your photography. This workflow revolves around the four “visual draws”—light and shadow, line and shape, color, and gesture. As Ibarionex discusses each of these visual draws, you’ll learn how to move beyond merely “looking” at the world around you to “seeing” photographic possibilities at every turn. It is this act of seeing that gives photography its magic—and that gives you the vital tool you need to improve your work. Rather than simply taking pictures, you’ll begin making photographs.

Ibarionex also covers topics such as exposure, composition, preparation, lighting, the role of emotion, culling your images, self-assessment, and post-processing. He presents the stories behind his photographs, which reveal his thought process as he works through a scene; shares some of his successes, failures, discoveries, and breakthroughs; and includes assignments and challenges to inspire and motivate you to put these principles into immediate action in your photography.
