To celebrate the success of Twisted, Torn And Moist It's time to give something back and my focus will be on different charities and how they help make the world a better place! We all at some point, will need help from a charity and it is my pleasure to help people understand the fabulous work that they do....So let's do our bit to help.

There are so many charities out there helping to provide a better future for people and my first episode of Let's do our bit to help, I caught up with Sam in Birmingham, who's working tirelessly to spread the word about the work that the NSPCC are doing.

Between 2016 and 2021, the NSPCC helped to make over 6.6 million children safer from abuse. But they can't do it alone - they need your help

Child abuse and neglect happens every day, in every walk of life, all around the UK.
At least two children in the average primary school classroom have experienced abuse or neglect. By the time they turn 18, that number rises to at least 4.

Thank you for all that you do, you are so appreciated!

I managed to fill a last minute podcast slot with one of the most promising up and coming bands, 7 Year War.

I first met these guys at Breaking Bands Festival early 2022, they opened the festival on the Wednesday night and then got recalled to fill a slot the following day! Back by popular demand, even if they were in McDonalds at the time!!
Be sure to catch these guys,  they are a great bunch and their future is looking extremely bright, not to mention their music is pretty damn good also!

Every musician has a dream. Now, when their band gets shortlisted for a once in a lifetime opportunity, they need all the help they can get.

THATS WHERE YOU GUYS COME IN. Every person that reads this, listens to this podcast will no doubt agree that "Black Lakes" deserve this chance!

I had the pleasure of chatting to them to find out a bit, ok lots, about themselves, their band and meanings behind the name, what their plans were for the future and many other things. We certainly crammed a lot of content in this podcast and I have no doubt that even the most miserable of people will crack a smile at some point during this interview! I really enjoyed chatting to them, it certainly brightened up a miserable day!

We shared facts and I also gave them a damn good quizzing!! Listen to this episode to find out how they got on!

So all this being said if everybody can click the link below to vote for Black Lakes in the Kerrang! Radio competition, I and the rest of the guys would be eternally grateful!!! Deadline for voting is midnight 07/02/23!!!

To vote just follow this link and select Black Lakes
P.S- If they win they have said they would try and get as many fans backstage ;-) It really is a no brainer.

After the hilarious interview I did with Attic Theory at Sav Fest earlier in the festival season, I jumped at the chance of round 2 at FireStorm!
The only difference this time was the absence of Kenny "King Of The Mowers", he was busy mowing lawns somewhere.

If there's one band that you can guarantee a good time on and off the stage it's these guys and dare I say it... rather clever as well!

I caught up with the boys in Ethyrfield at SavFest 2022, I collared them just as they were about to set off home. Hailing from Devon, these guys pack a punch.
General Knowledge Quizzes don't seem to be their strongest point BUT making music certainly makes up for that!

I'm sure most of you will have seen their name on event posters, but weren't sure how to pronounce their name...All is revealed in this episode.

Check these guys out!

I had the pleasure of chatting to Katie Richardson at Sav Fest about her new venture Hell Fire Music Entertainment. What better way to release her FIRST EVER OFFICIAL INTERVIEW than on her birthday!
I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing her a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

If you're in the music industry and haven't heard of Katie Richardson then I have to ask where the hell have you been?  She's the spine of the music scene right now!
Everyone knows our Katie! Whether its because she's one of the kindest, most caring people that I have ever had the privilege of meeting or the fact that because of her, bands are living their best lives and often Katie is the reason that they are still alive!

Now if Katie doesn't know the answer to something then 9/10 times the answer isn't worth knowing, luckily for me she fared very well in my general knowledge quiz therefore my questions live to survive another day!

We spoke about her goals and her intentions and what Hellfire Music Entertainment was all about, have a listen to this episode to find out more!

Please go and show her some support

I had the absolute pleasure of chatting to the guys in Royal Bloom at Sav Fest last year! I've kept this beauty hidden up my sleeve for 5 months (It's been so tempting to release it beforehand) but I wanted the New Year to get off to a flying start!
What better way than starting 2023 with one of my favourite episodes. These guys are so personable, for 20 minutes I felt like I was chatting to members of my family, they were so easy going, fun and really easy to chat to! Not to mention actually quite clever! In fact I'd go as far as saying that they are the whole package!

Imagine if Nirvana had a child with Audioslave? That's the way I would describe their sound, these hard working lads from Ayr are taking the scene by storm. If you haven't heard of them, well you have now and I demand that you check them out! If I can give you one piece of advice for the year, it would be to catch them now whilst they are affordable to watch, because at some point they are going to make it big!

Under The Bridge and Suffer Tomorrow are two of my most played tracks on my playlist and I still can't get enough of them!!!

I chatted to Scott Booth who is 1/5 of the Ayrshire band  "The Breathing Method"
We chatted about their music journey so far and what goals the band had for the New Year and beyond.
We talked about the importance of professionalism when contacting fellow promoters/booking agents and the age old saying "if you don't ask, you don't get"
and all other things music.

We talked about the band name and the famous Stephen King novel it was taken from and if Scott could give fellow band members a super power, what power he would give them.
"Hope For A Better Day" is their latest single and the music video to this was dropped last week.
Scott also chose to represent the band in the general knowledge quiz, listen in to see how he got on!!

They are on the hunt for festival appearances and any gig slots so if they fit the bill, give them a shout!

In the meantime show them some support:

I caught up with the guys in Kickin' Valentina at RockWich prior to their headline slot, there's no better way to warm up and prepare for a show than taking part in a general knowledge quiz to get those brain juices flowing!

Ever wondered where they got their band name from? I bet you won't guess it in a million years, but all is revealed in this podcast episode! It also features a few added EXCLUSIVE nursery rhymes, KV style!!

These are a band not to be missed, but you will need the wet floor signs out when they are around due to the increase in MOISTure in the air!!

See how they did in the quiz, they didn't score full marks but I'll give them 10/10 for the entertainment they provided!!
