Microsoft announced a surprisingly creator-focused line of new products at their event today. On the hardware side, the new Surface Studio is an all-in-one PC focused on content creation. It folds down into an easel and features the thinnest touch monitor available. It can be paired with the Surface Pen and new Surface Dial. They also announced new versions of the Surface Book and Surface Pro, as well as a new Microsoft VR headset. On the software side, Microsoft focused on 3D creation with its new version of Microsoft Paint, Windows Capture 3D, and 3D-focused additions to Office software like PowerPoint. The Surface Studio is available for pre-order now; the Creators Update will arrive this spring.

Oculus Connect brings together VR developers and creators, and TWiT sent their own VR enthusiast, Jason Howell, host of Tech News Today, All About Android, and Android App Arena, to cover the event. Jason had a chance to speak with the creator of Unspoken, a fantasy game with wizards and spells, as well as the genius behind the super fun game, Superhot. He demoed the award-winning spy game I Expect You to Die, a James Bond-inspired puzzle game, in addition to the very zen-like game Luna. Jason also had a chance to speak with a former Pixar employee, Tom Sanocki, about his new venture into real-time VR animation editing.

Salesforce's annual conference, Dreamforce, has become the largest software conference in the world, and it's happening in TWiT's backyard. So Leo sent Megan Morrone, host of iOS Today and Tech News Today, to check it out.
Megan had the opportunity to speak with some kids learning to code. Salesforce has partnered with local public schools and Code.org to teach middle school students how to use code to create jousting LEGO robots. She also spoke with members of the leadership team at Salesforce for Startups, the organization credited with launching the Salesforce Incubator, a program where a dozen startups are mentored by the cloud computing giant. She also spoke with the finalists in the Dreampitch competition, a Shark Tank inspired event!
