Episode 1 — Move-In Day: E-bikes, Pizza, and (No) Aaron Rodgers
Move-in day at St. Vincent College was … tame. No snack carts, no Elandon Roberts overalls—just a lot of pizza boxes and a surprising number of e-bikes and scooters rolling through Latrobe. Host Anthony DiCerbo, sports editor of the Latrobe Bulletin, is joined by producer Joe Wells to kick off Two-A-Days, Sample News Group’s limited series on the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp.
They break down:
Who showed up to speak with press (Pat Freiermuth, DK Metcalf, Jalen Ramsey, Alex Highsmith, Nick Herbig, Juan Thornhill) — and who didn’t (notably new QB Aaron Rodgers and veteran Cam Heyward).
Why the first four helmets-only practices still matter: formations, personnel groupings, and how Arthur Smith might get three tight ends (Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington) on the field together.
Early reactions inside the locker room to T.J. Watt’s contract extension.
Mike Tomlin’s message (and his all-afternoon schedule): he wants players “a little more miserable.”
The unique history and atmosphere of Latrobe, where today’s Steelers still walk the same hill Jack Lambert did.
What Anthony will be watching closely in the trenches all camp long.
A preview of the Latrobe Bulletin’s 12-page Steelers section hitting readers in the morning—and how Sample News Group papers statewide (and into New York) will have you covered.
