Episode 6: Greg Ryan
Greg Ryan carried an unimaginable secret for 54 years. It was one he was embarrassed to share. One that didn’t allow him to plan ahead. One that resulted in a life of shame, social stigma and intense mental health difficulties. And one that would eventually lead him into a dark place, and then out again, and inevitably to where he was meant to be. Greg was born without an anal opening, a congenital abnormality known as Imperforate Anus. And it was finding ‘his tribe’ that propelled him on a mission to establish the ONE in 5000 Foundation to educate people about the condition and provide support and resources for those with it. Greg is generous and raw and as you will hear, throughout his climb of the mountain, his sense of humour and love for family, friends and the North Melbourne football club has never wavered.
