Two And A Half Marks episodes

  • Episode 25- WCW Starrcade 1998

Probably the most iconic spot that the Marks have had to date: Starrcade 1998 AKA The Night Goldberg's Streak Ended AKA The Scott Hall Taser Spot. With that as the highlight of the show, it is surprising how little build there was on the rest of the card. We had an hour of cruiserweight greatness, a fun Jericho-Konnan match for the TV Title and that's it. Norman Smiley, Scott Norton, and even Ric Flair could not save this card. • Episode 24- WWE Vengeance 2006

Well, it isn't In Your House 4. David, Jake, and Angelo head back to a few months before their Summerslam episode with RAW's Vengeance. The overarching story is RAW v ECW, with Orton-Angle, Cena-Sabu, and RVD-Edge for the WWE Title. But the main event is a twisted combo of comedy and nostalgia: DX reunited against the Spirit Squad the made one team look like a bunch of jabronis. HINT: it was not DX. • Episode 23- WWE Survivor Series 2009

The Marks encounter all kinds of nostalgia with Survivor Series 2009, with a bunch of guys they grew up with, and a bunch of guys they're still watching now. 3 Survivor Series Matches make sure no guy (or gal) goes unremembered, 2 Triple Threat Matches for the World Titles tell the story of greed between tag teams, and Batista murders Rey Mysterio. • Episode 22- NWA Starrcade 1988

I hope you like the 80's! Starrcade 1988 was definitely a very 80's PPV, headlined by Ric Flair vs Lex Luger for the Heavyweight Championship in a 30 minute piece of art. But that's not all, as we also get MORE KEVIN SULLIVAN (and Dr. Death), 2 Midnight Express 2 Handle, Russians who aren't Russian, lovable Rick Steiner, and more! • Episode 21- All In 2018 Part 2

The Marks are back with Part 2 of their All In episode. Despite only 5 matches to discuss, the Marks wax poetically about almost everything on this half of the card. Jake puts over Joey Janela, his favorite New Jersian, David gets to dissect his 2018 dream match: Cleaner Kenny Omega vs Penta El Zero, and the main event absolutely melts Angelo's face off. • Episode 20- All In 2018 Part 1

SCREW THE RULES. David, Jake an Angelo decide to ditch the Randomizer for an episode, and instead dissect the first half of the 2018 event, All In. This event is recognized as what kick started the dawn of All Elite Wrestling, WWE's biggest competition in almost 2 decades. We have MJF heeling it up, the TV's Green Arrow Stephen Amell taking on consummate pro Christopher Daniels, a hell of a Women's 4-Way match, featuring the first woman to hold the TNA World Championship, and a CLASSIC: Nick Aldis taking on Cody Rhodes in a prizefight for the NWA Championship. • Episode 19- WWF In Your House 4

We had some Scott Hall and Kevin Nash on the last episode, so let's meet Razor Ramon and Diesel! In Your House 4, retroactively named Great White North, was more like In The Trash. The main event, Diesel vs Davey Boy Smith, was an utter wreck that had Vince swearing up and down once they went off air. Speaking of Vince, you get to hear a lot of him on commentary, which adds to the misery. On the bright side, at least there was a solid tag match featuring Billy and Bart Gunn taking on Razor and the 1-2-3 Kid. • Episode 18- WCW Great American Bash 1996

In this episode of Two And A Half Marks, we revisit the mid-90s WCW. We are one month away from the famous Hulk Hogan heel turn, but that doesn't mean there is some substance on this card. There's a super hyped up Kevin Greene and Steve McMichael vs Ric Flair and Arn Anderson match with a fantastic story. There's also some Sting, Steven Regal, DDP, Konnan, Young Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and so much more. Oh, and a lack luster WCW Title match between The Giant and Lex Luger. • Episode 17- WWE Vengeance 2003

On this episode, the Marks go off the rails as David works for that explicit tag. We have a meaningful Benoit discussion, talk about singlet tag teams, and a whole lot of other sidebars from a "meh" PPV. There are some great matches, like the opening US Title match, a heel John Cena taking on BikerTaker, and a triple threat match for the WWE Title. And here's a tip: don't be Jamie Noble. • Episode 16- WWF No Mercy 2001

In this episode, David and Jake show NO MERCY (get it?) to the the overarching angle in WWF, the Invasion Angle. Creative that has so much potential, that ended up being ridiculous because almost no WCW guys came over to WWF after the buyout by Vince. The card as a whole features some pretty solid matches, including Stone Cold v RVD v Kurt Angle for the WWF Title. Hope you enjoy the Paul Heyman commentary!
