Two Angles on Angling

After another 7 day banger through the haze of northern wildfires, Ryan is well fished. From fishing through a hellscape (a wild exaggeration but that was a phrase muttered by more than a handful of people) to covering a ton of water to the latest pattern – there is a lot to discuss. Ryan and Jordan delve deep into resiliency when facing adversity.

It was a light week as far as the angling goes.  A little rest, repair, and recovery was in order after the spring insanity so the fishing report is a bit sparse.  The forecast for this upcoming week looks excellent and Ryan is booked daily so he discusses his plan.  Jordan and Ryan get deep about how plants are attacking them and how defenseless it makes them feel.

After another long week of fishing daily, there is much to discuss. The spring grows old - the "transition" is underway so the guys spend much of their time discussing that pattern. They also reflect on what they saw during the pre-spawn period - about human behavior and animal behavior.

Chaotic weather was the theme of this past week.  Despite the challenges, Jordan and Ryan spent a fair amount of time on the water so as per usual, they discuss the conditions and how the pattern changed from the week prior.  The forecast for this upcoming week looks very promising so they discuss their plans for that as well.  They get deep by asking themselves the question, "What would you be willing to sacrifice to protect your favorite water or secret spots?"

Jordan and Ryan both spent a lot of time on the water this past week, so their fishing report dominates the conversation. They get deep about how to avoid burnout - when the fishing is good, the tendency is to go as hard as you can. That kind of behavior isn't without repercussions.
