Have you ever knocked on wood without knowing why? Crossed your fingers for luck? Avoided saying "quiet" at work because you didn't want to tempt fate?
This week we're diving into the strange world of superstitions. From Friday the 13th and black cats to sports rituals, healthcare folklore, and cultural beliefs from around the world. Along the way we discover why people throw salt at the devil, how a sneeze might eject your soul, and why you should never trim your nails at night if you value your identity.
Whether you're superstitious or just a little stitious, this episode is packed with weird history, questionable logic, and enough bad luck to keep things interesting.

Ashley is a dog person. Christy became a cat person against her will but now won't shut up about them. Naturally, this turns into a full conversation about the strange and chaotic history of cats and why they somehow still run the world without contributing financially.Â
This episode covers everything from Ancient Egypt and self-domestication to black cat superstitions, plague-era panic, orange cat behavior, tuxedo cat millionaires, and the deeply suspicious things cats do at 3 a.m. Christy also talks about her cats Ginger and Wasabi while Ashley slowly realizes she may be trapped in a cat TED talk she never signed up for.
Basically: history, conspiracy theories, weird cat facts, and one cohost absolutely testing the limits of the other’s patience

People are doing WHAT for extra money??Â
This week we’re ranking the most unhinged side hustles we could find, from surprisingly smart to absolutely not. We’re talking renting out your pool to strangers, being a fake friend for hire, selling feet pics, and even getting paid to cry at funerals.Â
We also try to guess how much these side hustles actually make… and let’s just say some of them had us questioning our morals a little bit. Some are genius. Some are concerning. Some should probably not exist.Â
So be honest, at what monthly income are you saying yes??

This week we’re tackling the important issues: crunchy or smooth peanut butter, online shopping vs. in-store, rewatching shows vs. starting new ones, and the deeply controversial question of whether leftovers should be reheated.
It’s basically a rapid-fire “this or that” episode full of random opinions, unnecessary passion, and minor judgment. Consider this episode a very unofficial personality test to figure out which TBOB host you’re most aligned with based entirely on chaotic opinions and oddly passionate takes.Â

Are these legendary creatures actually out there… or are they just really good stories we’ve been telling for generations?
This week, we’re diving into the origins of some of the world’s most famous cryptids: Bigfoot, the Yeti, and the Loch Ness Monster. From ancient folklore to modern sightings, we break down where these stories started, how they spread, and the “evidence” that keeps people questioning what’s real.
Plus, a special (and slightly unexpected) guest appearance from Christy’s husband, who drops by with a seltzer and facts about koalas.Â
And of course, we wrap it all up with a game of Delulu or Trululu™ to see what actually holds up… and what absolutely does not.
So… are these creatures real, or are they just really good stories?Â

No outline. No structure. Just vibes… and complaints.
This week Christy couldn’t get it together so we created categories for things that annoys us:
“Immediate Trash,” “Reluctant Leave,” “This Is a Me Problem,” and “Society Needs to Fix This.”
And then we went off.
We’re talking:
Some of these are valid societal issues. Some of these are deeply personal. We will not be clarifying which is which.
Let us know where you stand… or don’t. We’re probably not changing our minds.

We planned a mini episode. The universe said, “lol no.”Â
This week’s chaos includes crop circles, Stonehenge, and the wildly sus legend of the Bermuda Triangle.Â
Armed with nothing but vibes and our strong belief that “Google is free,” we attempt to make sense of it all… and somehow leave with even more questions.Â
Do we solve anything? No.
Do we laugh, interrupt each other, and question reality a little? Absolutely.Â
If you’ve ever looked at something and thought, “there’s no way that’s normal”… this episode is for you.Â

We somehow ended up with a million cups… and still only use the same one every day.
In this episode, we spiral from that realization into talking about clutter, overthinking, and overcommitting. It’s not that deep, but also… it kind of is. No expert advice, just us realizing we might all have a few too many “cups” in our lives.

What color was the dress? No really, what did you see?Â
In this episode, we’re diving into the internet of our past and the illusions that completely broke everyone’s brains. From the dress to Yanny vs Laurel and beyond we're asking a simple but slightly unsettling question: why can’t we agree on what we’re seeing and hearing?Â
We get into:Â
Along the way, we test each other with “real or not” brain facts, uncover some very weird human glitches, and slowly spiral into the realization that we might not be as in control of our perception as we think. Cue another existential crisis.. love that for us.Â
So if you’re tired of arguing with bots, come with us on a nostalgic deep dive into the simpler days of the internet... back when it wasn’t so dead.Â

In this episode, Christy comes in HOT with a completely unhinged collection of “hot tips” covering everything from productivity hacks to survival skills to… honestly, things no one asked for.
Some of these might actually improve your life. Some of them might get you side-eyed in public. All of them are delivered with full confidence and giggles.
We get into:
Are these tips genius? Are they completely unhinged? We’ll let you decide.
