This episode is quite different than other episodes. If you want to reach a goal, you have to put in the work to get it done. It is nobody's fault if you don't reach your goals.
This week Jeff and Hannah talk candidly about setting personal and professional goals, dealing with set backs, how they do "family time", and talking with family and friends about goals as a couple.
How do you set goals as a spouse or a parent? When you have things you want to accomplish, how does that fit into life? And family and scheduling? It can be very challenging. Are you chasing your goals or other people's goals?
How do you deal with the nay-sayers in your life? The people and opinions you let into your mind and life should be guarded. Place people around you that support your goals.
Goals are like mile-markers. There are micro goals in between the larger goals that help you stay on course.
Dealing with fear and disappointment is par for the course. The fear of failure can be so overwhelming. There is a lot of questioning and reflecting and analyzing. Mental toughness is one of the greatest obstacles. Fear is a liar. No one knows the future.
We love to cheerlead people to reach their goals!
It's about not quitting even when it's hard.
What is at stake? How to take on the worst case scenario? Going through the decision-making process is specific for your tolerance level and should be considered as a couple.
