Two In The Chamber episodes

  • 21: Joshua Ort

Josh, a self-admitted not really exciting dude, sits next to me in his Man Cave of Metal™ and we discuss music at length. He compares Primus to ICP. Bold, I know, but he's the man who can do it. We talk a little bit about his kids and such as well as his work. But mostly it's about the metal. Also, enjoy the "mouse repellant" album art!

Yes. You read that right. This episode is about an hour of me answering two questions posed to each of the prior guests on this show who gave me questions in time to record this one. The two questions are: 1. If you didn't know me, what's something you would ask as an ice breaker? 2. Since you do know me, what's something you want me to expand upon.

In the outro, I let the listeners know how they can support the show monetarily and help raise funds for a better sound board to make this show expand into different formats and horizons.

Thank you all for taking the time to support this show through your listenership and enjoying what I'm doing here, with bringing voices out into the world that didn't really have a place before.

  • 19: Brian Nutt, Part 2

In this half of the epic juggernaut of an episode, Brian and I pick up where we left off talking about memes, and then veer into our beef with broadcast news, and even talk about how politics divides families up. Then we start talking about the music that we find interesting, and a strong love of Deftones. After that, we veer into talking about his music and artwork. Both of which you can find below. After that, we find out what makes Brian happy. I'm beyond tickled he was finally able to do the show and I'm honored he was on here.

  • 18: Brian Nutt, Part 1

Back in August, Brian was the last person to sit down with me in the garage at the old house right before we moved out. He had the honor of being the one to take down the Bat Cave sign above the garage door, and we had a wonderful conversation after that which spanned about three hours. We ran the gamut on this session, and in the first part we discuss everything from the zenith of our relationship, God Bless America, banning drugs and guns, politician worship and problems with the system, a mutual love of Falling Down, people getting offended, medical insurance and access, all the way up to The Go Fast and Keanu Reeves. None of these topic headings go the exact way you're thinking. That's what I love about this man. The man is as humble as Keanu is, and that's one of the endearing qualities that makes him so wonderful. His thoughts are so well related that I find myself often stupified at how deep he digs.

  • 16: Where we've been, where we are, and where we're going
This episode is the end of the current chapter. The show may or may not return in September or October. Follow the facebook page for more info on that. Thanks for everything so far, friends!
In today's episode, Bob and Steve join me at the Grimes Farm Amphitheater for a discussion that starts with three ways to fix politics, stories about getting arrested, getting way too drunk, suicide attempts, and how our lives were impacted by several different moments in our lives. Also, Nick has some thoughts near the end as well. There was no real format for this episode, and I hope y'all enjoy this. Thank you all for your support.

Well friends, here is episode 15. Blake joins me over dinner at his place and we discussed the way time affected our lives in a linear fashion from being teens to current day.
However, the mixer decided to shit the bed on the last 50 minutes or so of the conversation, so a lot of the great stuff was lost, but we both had an amazing conversation about the way we became parents, and how it works out better for him given the kind of person he was back in the day versus now. I think more "podcasts al fresco" will happen if weather permits. But this was cool and I'm really disappointed, so if you want to support to get a better mixer that can travel well and play well with thumb drives, join the Patreon

Happy Mother's Day, friends. I decided to drop the second episode three days early this month to catch the holiday. In all of the podcasts and episodes I've done, I've never had my mom on, and this year, I decided to remedy that. I wasn't sure what I was going to have going into this one, and mom was very candid and honest about her life. I really gained a new appreciation for her. It was a great discussion with two different generations, and I was gifted a wonderful new perspective on how she handled obstacles in her life, and I realized how short I've fallen in wanting to achieve that attitude.
We talked about a host of topics from her career in healthcare, her childhood, the loss of her brother at such a young age, the loss of my father in law, how I wasn't good in school but was in college, how she deals with stress at work, what makes her the most proud about her children, how she found out about and handled the divorce, how she turned her career around and became a nurse, and what makes her happy. She asked me about how I got into acting and I asked her why she always comes to see me in these plays.
If you can, call your mother. If you have a toxic relationship with your mother, fuck your mother. But for those who do celebrate it, happy mother's day y'all.
