Two Leading Ladies

Hello, Upper East Siders. Today we wrap up the first season of Gossip Girl.

In the first half of this episode Ashley and Kate talk episode 10-12. We loved talking a TV series and hope to pick another one to watch soon.

The second half of this episode we are joined with our friends Josh and Jade from Our Taste is Trash to hear their opinions about the show. We had such a fun conversation with them! They are also reviewing some holiday movies this month so go check them!!

Happy Holidays everyone! We are excited to do a few holiday movies for your listening pleasure. This week we revisit our first leading lady we ever talked about. Oh, how far we have come.

Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn star in the Christmas comedy about a couple who does their very best to avoid the holidays with their families. Unfortunately they cannot avoid it this year so they have to endure 4 separate christmases with their families. All we can say is yikes.

WE'RE BACK, BABY! Well, we never left but Gossip Girl did and now its back and we have so much to discuss. We are so happy that they put out three episodes on thanksgiving. It was definitely something to be thankful about. Throuple trouble, big daddy scandals, and love triangles...oh my.

This was by far our favorite series to do. We had so many laughs and interesting conversations and we truly feel like we hit our stride.

We are in District 13 this week after Katniss was rescued from the 75th Hunger Games. To set the scene…Peeta is trapped at the Capitol with President Snow, Gale is being a whiny baby, Boggs is a badass, and an uprising is occurring.

Exciting things that we discuss:

•We finally get confirmation about the correlation between blood and President Snow.

•How hot Boggs is 🥵

•Cinna’s final designs

This week we are dealing with a little PTSD from the 74th Hunger Games. There is coldness between Katniss and sweet Peeta before they start their victors tour(who thought that was a good idea?)and Katniss has been given the task of convincing Snow that everything that happened in the previous game was real. Well…spoiler alert 🚨 she does a terrible job. Now Snow must find a way to destroy her and her reputation by having an All-Star tournament for the 75th Quarter Quell Hunger Games.

Everything is more amped up in the movie. Emotions, game play, arena…you name it and Ashley and Kate talk about it all.

We are ecstatic to be starting a watch through of the Hunger Games trilogy.

In a dystopian world, Katniss Everdeen volunteers as tribute in the 74th annual Hunger Games after her sister Prim was chosen. She is to compete with Peeta Mellark and 22 other tributes from the different districts in a fight-till-the-death battle royale. However, Katniss decides to shake things up a little bit.

You can tell how much fun we had recording this episode, plus we have some super cool add ins in this episode that’s to the queen Ashley herself. Let us know if they stand out to you.
