Adrienne Brauer knows all about preparation, cadence, tempo and pace as a long-distance runner on the cross country and track teams at Southeast Missouri State University. Southeast Missouri's Department of Athletics celebrated another strong year in the classroom during the 2018-19 campaign. A total of 229 individuals achieved a 3.0 or higher grade point average this past academic year equating to 67.7 percent of the entire student-athlete population. Southeast Missouri junior Logan Blomquist finished 24th overall in the hammer competition Wednesday afternoon at the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships held in Austin, Texas. Southeast Missouri junior center fielder Rachel Anderson was named to the 2019 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-America Team Wednesday. For the first time in 20 years, the SEMO Softball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Redhawks won the OVC Tournament Championship last week with a 4-1 record, climbing back out of the loser’s bracket to defeat regular season co-champion Jacksonville State twice on Saturday.
