Women’s basketball guard Tesia Thompson was named OVC Co-Player of the Week. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Thompson posted 26 points and seven rebounds for SEMO last week. She recorded a season-high nine field goals made in 33 minutes of play. For the week, Thompson shot 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the field and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) at the free throw line. She

Southeast Missouri picked up another Ohio Valley Conference honor when senior wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season Sunday. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Wilkerson caught 10 passes for an OVC single-game high 254 yards and two touchdowns in SEMO's 38-31 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Kentucky. For the sixth time in program history, the SEMO women’s soccer team is Ohio Valley Conference regular season champions. The Redhawks finished the regular season with a 8-1-1 record in conference play, and earned the right to host the OVC Soccer Tournament at Houck Field this weekend. Southeast Missouri ranked 13th in the nation in grade point average after posting a 3.66 GPA for the 2018-19 academic year, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award. SEMO had five student-athletes receive the OVC Medal of Honor with 4.0 GPAs last year: Bri Caccavale, Kate Daus, Emily Holten, Katie Lever and Morgan McCourt. Maggie Adams and Claire Ochs each earned Ohio Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday afternoon. Adams was tabbed OVC Defensive Player of the Week and Ochs was named OVC Co-Setter of the Week as Southeast Missouri women's volleyball (11-7, 3-1 OVC) posted a pair of victories over preseason conference favorites Austin Peay and Murray State. The SEMO Softball program continues to garner recognition for its remarkable performance last season. Only this time, the honors are pouring in for their performance in the classroom. The Redhawks Softball team ranked fourth in the entire nation with a 3.678 team grade point average for the 2018-19 school year. Junior Carli Knott was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Female Runner of the Week after finishing as runner-up at the Bradley Intercollegiate last Friday. The Southeast Missouri women's cross country team placed second overall in the competition. The Jackson, Missouri native, finished second out of 213 runners in the three mile race with a personal-best mark of 17:26.5. She currently has the fastest time for three miles in the conference.
