This week's commander is a Simic changling who's just looking to keep you alive. This week's mechanic: Champion: Champion an [object] (When this enters the battlefield, sacrifice it unless you exile another creature you control. When this leaves the battlefield, that card returns to the battlefield.)

Got a Golgari commander that doesn't like to play in the graveyard this week. She is, however, Hellbent... .... on finding some creatures. This week's mechanic is Hellbent: Hellbent:..., as long as you have no cards in hand[blank]happens I also reveal the origin of my almost 20 year old nickname and I probably yelled about something. I'm sorry in advance for the poor joke in paragraph one.

This one had some technical difficulties and took a little time to clean up. Bu it's here, and we did it again, ya'll. We drummed up another commander. Enjoy this Orzhov spirit loving wizard. This week's mechanics are Amplify and Cascade: Amplify: Amplify N (As this creature enters the battlefield, put N +1/+1 counters on it for each [creature type] card you reveal in your hand.) Cascade: (When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card whose converted mana cost is less than this spell's converted mana cost. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then put all cards exiled this way that weren't cast on the bottom of your library in a random order.)

This week we made ourselfs a sea monster; a kraken to be precise. And he's a mono blue tutor inspired by the mechanic Offering. Offering: [Subtype] Offering (You may cast this card any time you could cast an instant by sacrificing a [Subtype] and paying the difference in mana costs between this and the sacrificed [Subtype]. Mana cost includes color.) Plus, TJ and I have a fight on air, we discuss the new Cardi B track, and I briefly share my thoughts on analingus.

We're dropping a Selesnya commander for you this week, and she's all about the Earth. And since we used Threshold as this week's mechanic, she's also big on having cards in her graveyard. Threshold: As long as there are seven or more cards in your graveyard, … I'm sorry in advance for the references to f****ing food. There's probably too many of them...

This week we drum up an Ink-Treader(red/green/white/blue)Afterlife commander that just loves her some spirits. Afterlife: Afterlife N (When this creature dies, create N 1/1 white and black Spirit creature token(s) with flying.) This will probably be our last 4 color commander for a little while as we learned, it's pretty easy to drum up some cool abilities when you have 4 colors to work with. Or, we just got lucky with the getting afterlife as our mechanic. Who knows?

Coming in hot with an Abzan dog wizard who wants to Splice things from the graveyard. Splice: Splice onto [quality] [cost] (As you cast a(n) [quality] spell, you may reveal this card from your hand and pay its splice cost. If you do, add this card's effects to that spell.)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we took the holiday weekend off. But, WE'RE BACK...with a brand new commander. This week we played around with the now defunct mechanic Recover the create an Azorius god who wants to cast cards FROM THE BEYOND!!! Recover: Recover [cost] (When a creature is put into your graveyard from the battlefield, you may pay [cost]. If you do, return this card from your graveyard to your hand. Otherwise, exile this card.) I also discuss my Olympic career, and once again have some wild beers from our unofficial sponsor Southern Grist Brewery.

It's been two weeks since we last recorded an episode, and we are coming in hot. This week we took a stab at creating commander in Orzhov(White/Black) using the Heroic mechanic. Heroic: "Whenever you cast a spell that targets this card, …" We also talk about TJ's junk and my love life...or lack there of.
