The Weight of Glory // C. S. Lewis
Music credit: "March of the Pods" by Howling Mad H
Being homeschoolers, we believe in being unconventional. That's why we decided to take on one of Lewis's lesser-known works. From "Why I'm Not a Pacifist" to "A Slip of the Tongue," the hosts dive into a hodgepodge of Lewis's essays in their desperate search for the true meaning of "glory." Also, Rebecca gets vulnerable about her fame complex, and Holly's inner youth group leader makes a sudden and unexpected appearance.
This episode has been heavily edited in an effort to keep its length under an hour; as an unfortunate result, there are many points at which a topic or line of speech is suddenly cut off. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work out editing details.
What the term "Inner Ring" means in the book as referenced in the episode: a group of specific individuals unified by the exclusion of others.
