  • Podcast Special: Managing an actors' agency during a pandemic EP 154
This week we are joined by Barnaby Welch from Bloomfields Welch Management. They are agents that represent personalities from stage and screen. He tells us how the pandemic simply knocked out huge areas of the business but how it is now starting to come back to life. Fascinating podcast letting the light in on the magic of the entertainment industry during difficult times.

  • Toilet Rolls, R numbers, serial killers, Waitrose, Don't scare the hare. EP 151
Toilet roll panic buying… an utter waste of time! The “R” number… up or down… the poisoned chalice of being in charge. Andy suggests some TV programmes… but they all seem to be about serial killers! Nick tells us about Waitrose’s most ridiculous thing on sale. Plus carrots on display and a flawed favourite chocolate bar survey. Then for some reason we talk about “Don’t scare the hare” and “Pets win prizes”. It’s all here! EP 151

  • Can you make a sponge? Two Voices Radio Podcast EP 150
This week... Nick tries to explain devolved government in the UK. We ask how does the Contact Tracing App work? We're confused! Andy tells us panic buying has started. At last... Nick says he's found a good reason for Brexit... duty free booze! Andy's still annoyed by TV ads that have people who pretend to be employees but they're actors! Excess packaging on Pringles and Baby Bel cheeses. There's the big pie eater... and finally... Bake Off is back. We share our views on the new series!

  • Bake Off back, Drive-in panto, Christmas sweets, dreadful click-bait EP 149
Taking the train and coffee shops are still shut. Absurdities of the week: Face coverings on public transport doesn’t include wearing a snake or wearing a dinosaur costume around the supermarket!

The Great British Bake Off is back… yay! Plus… we can’t stand “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” but this year it’s going to be different. We look at the proposed so-called celebs who are mooted to be in this series.

Andy tells us 2/3 of people have gone back to work (leaving the house). Many say they’ve missed their colleagues.

Nick tells us of a drive-in panto. Sounds a novel way of going to the theatre and sit in your own car with snacks!

Greggs give free birthday goodies…. And who is it that queue up for breakfast items?

Plus… have you spotted the supermarkets already have big tins of Christmas sweets and they seem to be £4 everywhere. We do some sums to compare the value between those and the Lindt chocolates.

Finally… Nick is annoyed by click-bait internet stories… aaarghh!

  • Rule of 6, naming babies, best biscuits, soaps are back, ketchup shortage EP 148
This week… teaching students from your kitchen… the commute is certainly shorter! We try to interpret the new “Rule of 6” from the UK Government. We look at the latest top 100 girls and boys baby names. Sadly… Nicholas and Andrew don’t feature! There’s some surprises and quite unexpected names on the list. Our perennial favourite is back… the top 20 biscuit poll. Andy tells us about a coffee subscription service that offers 5 coffees a day. Surely, that’s got to be too much caffeine? The TV and radio soaps are back… er… um… great! Plus Nick tells us about the great tomato sauce shortage at Wetherspoons and the Sun newspaper’s extreme way of reporting it. It's all here. • Project over runs, Argos catalogue, home catalogues, tupperware style parties EP 147
This week we look at when to put the heating on! Project overruns - how on earth does it happen? The Argos catalogue is no more. We ask... do catalogue companies still produce traditional catalogues or is it all online? Nick remembers his mum running a Janet Frazer catalogue. Was their commission? and how about paying it off over all those weeks? Plus... home Tupperware type evenings. Do they still happen. Finally... there's a burger story! It's all here! • Time, waistlines, eating out. Trains, weather, Visit Norfolk. Exam Chaos. Buy a chicken! EP 146
This week… where has the time gone? We are dieting but blame expanding waistlines on the “Eat out to help out” scheme. We get back to using trains and ask what is it with the weird up and down UK weather? We take you with us to Norfolk and discuss Norwich and the wonderful River Green Café in Trowse Newton. Plus… exam chaos… and how about buying a chicken? It’s all here!
