Typical Books of Terror: Horror Books and Fiction Discussion

November's reading was fairly minimal with work and French class taking time away from curling up with a good book. However, I finished Clown in a Cornfield 2, then read The Butcher and Strangled Epitaphs. Just finishing The Vessel this weekend before getting on to December reading proper. Still on track to have read more than the fourteen books I have listed on Goodreads so will update that now, using past videos to track it.

Mentioned here are:

Halloween has come and gone, but the books are just getting onto my shelf! Here is a diary of the books I picked up over spooky season, mainly horror with a little magick as well. We visited a haunt at Saunders Farm, went to a bookstore in the witchy little town of Merrickville, and I travelled north and ended up adding to my Laymon collection.

I was asked to talk about a perfect book ~ so this is the most perfect horror book on my shelves, according to me. A book I would be pictured reading and perhaps even buried with. Maybe that is a little extreme... but I do love the look of this book. With bonus geekery on fonts.

Some books start a film rolling in your mind as you read - and here are some I think ought to be made into films. This may be a recurring theme here, and thank you to Mers of Harpies in the Trees for the suggestion ages ago!

It has been a packed month of reading in September and I am still at it! There is another video coming soon and then, wow, a massive list of books out for the spooky season. The leaves have just started to turn here so I am looking forward to a hot cup of something sweet, and getting cozy...

My horror reading wrapup for May and to-be-read for June has a bridge book and one that I didn't get to - mostly because I added two books to the list. Bonus skulls! My sister gifted me a small bear skull and a hefty moose skull. Ethically sourced, and a little piece of home.

Quite a few of these are free ebooks or really low cost, so if you want to get started with Kindle Unlimited, check out https://amzn.to/3LWRtti
