Violet shares her recovery from drugs and alcohol. I share my journey with an eating disorder.

It was very interesting to explore the similarities and the deeper root beneath both: the mind’s urge to escape the Now.

Addiction isn’t always obvious. Sometimes it’s substances. Sometimes it’s control. Sometimes it’s distraction. But at its core, it’s the same wound - the same reaching.

I truly believe everyone will see themselves in some part of it.

Real healing is done alone. It's done internally. It's ugly. But i wanted to share this with you as i'm moving through transitions and feeling the rawness of life... you don't feel so alone on your journey. Could have talked for years with Edwige. This conversations a special one that every one of us can resonate with to some degree. What we all share in common, is we all have a body. And when we tune into what our bodies are trying to tell us, we can work with it, rather than against it, to truly heal physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I loved this conversation because I resonate so much with her journey and feel so blessed to connect with her and share our stories. Thats truly why i do this.. cos sharing our truth is what allows others to not feel so alone, to inspire, and spark action within us that brings healing, growth and transformation into our lives.
