Eighty-third Episode released on 12/04/2020. Happy Friday y'all. We're back, after a long absence. It really felt like forever since I had created a new episode. I was a bit sporadic on this episode so I apologize in advance. I hope you guys all had a great modified Thanksgiving. I was feeling a tad lazy after eating so much PIE lol. Welcome to December and supposedly the best time of year, although I know with everything this year it's a bleak outlook on the end of the year.  This episode I talk about how saying less can sometimes be in our favor. We don't always need to be the center of attention or the loudest in the room. In fact, some people who are great leaders, are not even loud speakers. Leading doesn't always mean what most think. Second, I talk about looking out for others in certain situations in general. Even if people are stubborn, if we have the wisdom, we should pass it on and try to help them make the right decision. Last, here is where I went a little haywire, I just talk about the grind, the balance of work and side hustles and how it's all a process, but usually work and side hustles go hand in hand because we are living out our lives doing both. Eighty-second Episode released on 11/23/2020. Happy Monday y'all. We're back, hope the weekend treated you all well. I went to my neighbors b day get together and had a good time. Sunday became a lazy day off for sure due to that. However, I did manage to help a friend dig a very large pole out of the ground so I did get some work in today lol. This episode I talk about seeing stuff all around and maybe us starting to question it's use and application at this point in our lives. I just offer maybe creating a brief list to remove some of these un-needed items. I have plenty of things, that I no longer use or have a use for, so I think I'm going to sell/give away some things. Lighter load usually means you can be faster/more efficient. Second, I talk about ridding bad habits and how that going to end up being soley on us. Others may push us because they want to see us do better but in the end it falls on YOU. Last, get out of the house still regardless of this pandemic weighing on us. Yes, be safe, practice the right things, but you can still go for walks or drives just to move your body and not slump on the couch an entire day. Thank y'all for the continued support. Eighty-first Episode released on 11/20/2020. Happy Friday y'all. What's going on Ubiquitous Growth fam, hope y'all are doing well despite the bleak look on life with this pandemic. Where I live, we are on "freeze" or two week shutdown, trying to keep our spirits low, but we are all going to get through this. Stay positive and optimistic and fill the time with productivity. On this episode, I remind us to not only thank those who's been supporting us on our success journey during the big moments, but even the small minute or never thought of moments as well. These people are motivators and huge reasons why we make it so far in the first place. Thank them continuously along the way, it will boost your own spirits. Second, I just talk about the big question: What is the meaning of life? There are many answers to this. Find yours but don't make it complicated. Last, I give a story about my gma and it ties to us allowing others to label weaknesses on us. Never good. Let's not let others label what we are weak at. We need to be doing that. Eightieth Episode released on 11/16/2020. Happy Monday y'all. This episode I made history on the show, bringing on our very first female guest. She is part of my friend circle and is married to one of my best friends. I was a witness to their marriage earlier this summer in Las Vegas and it was truly a privilege to watch and be there for that. She has been around for several years and really is the mom of our group. We call her Jessie, but her name is Yesenia Marquardt. Jessie became a mom at the age of 21 and it really changed her entire perspective and purpose. Jessie is notorious for roasting me and always being a jokester. I appreciate her being in all our lives and she's killing it as far as being a mom. I think you guys can get a lot of value from this guest sit down as Jessie really just speaks honestly into the mic. There was some technical stuff going on with the two microphone recording so Jessie's voice is quieter than mine. I apologize for that! We also recorded a video of this sit down so that may be going up on YouTube at some point. Although, the audio on that as well didn't turn out as crisp as I would like, so we'll see. Seventy-ninth Episode released on 11/13/2020. Happy Friday and soon to be weekend y'all. I hope you guys are enjoying the prep for Thanksgiving, even though this year is about to be entirely different. Today's episode I speak on falling back to the level of our training and NOT rising to the occasion. I often think this is misconstrued and a lot of people get this wrong. I give all the credit to my college coach, Coach Neal for this one. All the hours in the dark are going to come to light. I feel like I may have spoke on this lesson before, but I'm okay repeating things that carry heavy weight. Next I had a great conversation with my gma just giving her some of the information I've been coming across lately. It was wild to see her perspective of our time-frame nowadays. She was big eyed at the immense opportunities we all have regarding technology and other things that didn't exist when she was younger. No matter your age, you can use these things to your advantage and obviously if you are younger, it's going to be interesting to see what transpires over your lifetime. Last, I just remind you to be a nice person. After all today is world kindness day, so please just do that. Thank y'all for the continued support. I worked 20+ hours on Friday and had nothing in the tank on Saturday. Also Oregon Football was playing for the first time in a long time on Sat. So I chose to watch that and enjoy that time with friends instead. Today's episode hits on most leaders are preaching us the same general messages. Seventy-seventh Episode released on 11/02/2020. Here we go again! Hope y'all had a great Halloween weekend. I know it was probably different than years past, but we still got to enjoy this holiday season. I personally had a great time with friends and was able to reconnect with former teammates of mine from Oregon Football. This entire episode stems from the opportunity I had to reconnect at a skills camp hosted by former NFL athletes and D1 collegiate players. What a time it was and want to give a special thanks to my guy Dominque Harrison who I played with at Oregon for the invite. During this episode I cover discipline and dedication as that was something we stressed to the young guys who are coming up in the world of sports. We go over some real life examples from legends in their respective fields. Next I talk about how we should use our past connections/resources to do more good out in the world. A lot of us have been apart of larger groups, teams, companies, etc where we've meet resourceful people. Make an effort to use all that in order to give back. Lastly, it all starts with the youth if we want to make changes. The amount of value you will get out of helping the young ones is incredible. We should all be trying to find ways to give back that's fun for us. It's going to be more rewarding than almost anything money can buy. Once you get those feelings you'll always want more of it. Was happy to attend an event like this and take away such good perspective. I will leave all the socials below to the guys involved who are putting on for their communities. Seventy-fifth Episode released on 10/26/2020. Happy Monday to you and yours! It's gotten chilly out here in Portland-metro area man. I had another solid weekend with those in my circle. We were able to celebrate a couple of our friends birthdays, and some exciting news that one of them is going to become a dad. Congrats to the new parents. I've known this guy for a decade plus and I couldn't be happier for him. With that celebration came a Sunday of recovery and not feeling up to par, you feel me! I'm getting up there in age and don't bounce back as quick as I used to. Anyways I listened to Joyner Lucas' new album and that inspired me on the first topic. A track titled "The Problem" really opened my eyes that usually a lot of our issues lie within us ourselves. We have to go back to these "traumas" we've went through and pick them apart in a healthy manner but it starts within us. I also touch on how we try to please too many people, and there are certain ones we will never please no matter what we do. Lastly, I watched and finished the social dilemma on Netlflix. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommended you watch it for educational purposes. I don't think I spoke on the pod episode about how it is also affecting our democracy and dividing us more than ever socially but I do hit the other takeways I pulled from it. Seventy-fourth Episode released on 10/23/2020. Happy Friday y'all. Another weekend is here and it's getting chilly out there in the PNW fall at least where I'm located. Going to have to pull out my beanie and puffy jacket y'all. I had a potential close call this week at work and it really gave me the energy and life on this episode. I just want to remind everything how thankful we should be as we get to wake up another day and fight for what we want and where we want to go in life. That's amazing! I hope you agree and you show daily gratitude, cause I swear that will change your outlook on many things. I also touch on how we are all going at different paces, which I know I've already done an episode on, but it's just constantly coming up these days so I hit it again. Lastly, I talk about how when you look good, you feel good, thus you perform good. I had this experience at Oregon where we had the best uniforms in the country, hands down (and still do). Just know style is ever evolving and trends change, but hopefully when you get ready, you look in the mirror and tell yourself you're killing it, cause that's a good feeling. We really should all love ourselves. Don't put all your value into your appearance, but do take care of yourself, it has psychological effects. Who doesn't want to look and feel good?
