十条诫命是以色列人分别为圣生活的律法总纲，他涵盖了人与神的关系以及人与人的关系。 前四条诫命强调了人与神的关系，后六条强调了人与人的关系。但耶和华不是仅仅告诉摩西这几句话，其实从 20-24 章的内容都是一个赐下诫命、与人立下圣约的过程。在十诫之外，还有 宗教法例、敬拜规则、民事法律等诸多的诫命。 今天我们把重点放在前四诫上。前四诫命强调 了神人之间的关系，神的属性以及人应该如何认识神，及敬拜神。

Cultural, social, and religious norms vary with the #ChangingTimes. Women used to wear clothing which covered their whole bodies. Parents used to arrange marriages for their children. It was considered imperative to go to church on Sundays. These practices are passé now. What has remained the same throughout the centuries are the Bible and God’s commandments. George Mϋeller was a missionary in England who took in more than 10,000 children into the orphanages he established in the 1800s. He never asked for funds to support his orphanages; he relied solely on God’s provision to meet the needs of his orphanages. There had been times when Mϋeller, his wife, and his staff had nothing to serve the orphans for their next meal. Mϋeller didn’t waste time grumbling. He continued to pray and thank God for the food they would eat – and God sends the food in miraculous ways.
