Jean Lestrale, a retired engineer who worked with various federal agencies, including DARPA, the CIA, NASA, as well as private government contractors, joined the podcast Tuesday to discuss his views of the alien presence on Earth. Lestrale had shared essays on the phenomenon with this podcast in the past, but always anonymously. This episode marks the first time that Lestrale - who also had an encounter with an alien creature in the past - has openly discussed his views.

On Saturday night, August 15, 2026, at about 10:59 pm EST, I walked out the back screen door and immediately saw a star-like object that had transparent, purplish planks in the front of it, moving directly toward me. Before I had the chance to remove my cellphone from my pocket to film it, the object tilted and began moving directly toward me, and the star-like object intensified greatly in brightness and took on the shape of a humanoid figure. Shocked, I retreated back into the house and told my son, Tad, that there was a UFO “right outside.” Tad, despite my warning not to go outside, went outside to look, anyway. I soon joined him and we watched as this weird star-like object surrounded by a purplish-blue cloud played a game of peek-a-boo behind the tall branches of a tree before finally flying away until it was no longer in sight.
