UFO Over Mason City, Iowa: Strange Orange Object Captured in the Night Sky

On August 29, 2026, at approximately 10:40 PM, a strange glowing object was reportedly observed over Mason City, Iowa, and captured in a photograph. The image appears to show an unusual orange, elongated or V-shaped object suspended in the nighttime sky above a busy roadway.

But what was it?

Was it a UFO/UAP, an aircraft, an atmospheric phenomenon, or simply a cloud or optical effect created by the camera? In this episode of UFO WARNING, we examine the witness photograph and investigate the circumstances surrounding the sighting.

We'll look at the weather conditions in Mason City, including reported clear skies, humidity and visibility, as well as the Moon's position, nighttime conditions, and possible conventional explanations for what appears in the photograph.

Was this simply a trick of light and atmosphere—or did someone capture something genuinely unidentified over Iowa?

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we travel to South Carolina to examine a series of strange and unsettling UFO reports documented by the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).

From Myrtle Beach to Lancaster, Gresham, Swansea, Santee, Wagener, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, witnesses describe encounters with objects that defy easy explanation—including glowing orbs, triangular craft, mysterious red streaks, enormous rectangular objects, egg-shaped UFOs, and a bizarre “teapot” shaped craft.

What if UFO encounters have left something behind?

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we investigate some of the strangest claims involving mysterious metal allegedly connected to UFO investigations in the former Soviet Union. At the center of the story is Object M, a bizarre underground discovery in Estonia during the Soviet era that reportedly triggered an investigation involving Soviet authorities.

We examine claims that the mysterious object was buried beneath a residential property, that Soviet investigators excavated the area, and that unusual material may have been recovered from the site.

We also travel to Russia's remote Ural Mountains, where mysterious microscopic metallic spirals containing materials such as tungsten, molybdenum, and copper have fueled decades of speculation about possible ancient technology — and even alleged extraterrestrial origins.

But the biggest question concerns a much more recent claim: UFO researcher and journalist Ross Coulthart has reported that Russian scientists analyzed alleged UFO-related metal and discovered unusual isotopic ratios that may not be consistent with ordinary terrestrial material.

Could these metals represent evidence of technology that didn't originate on Earth?

Or are there conventional geological, industrial, or manufacturing explanations?

On September 2, 1990, something extraordinary was reportedly witnessed over Megaplatanos in central Greece. Multiple witnesses described a formation of mysterious lights crossing the night sky before one object allegedly separated from the group, changed color, lost altitude, and crashed into a wooded hillside.

But according to the witnesses, the story didn't end with the crash.

Several of the other mysterious objects reportedly returned to the area and remained above the crash site for hours. Witnesses claimed they saw strange lights moving between the ground and the objects, leading some UFO researchers to speculate that they were witnessing an extraterrestrial search-and-recovery operation.

The following morning, villagers reportedly discovered a burned area, damaged trees and alleged physical fragments at the site. Greek authorities reportedly became involved, while conventional explanations including a meteor, satellite debris or other atmospheric phenomena were considered.

So what really happened at Megaplatanos?

Was this a UFO crash and recovery operation—making it the closest Greek equivalent to the famous Roswell UFO incident—or was there a more conventional explanation?

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we examine the witness testimony, the reported crash, the mysterious objects that allegedly returned to the site, the physical evidence claims, the involvement of Greek authorities, and the unanswered questions surrounding one of Greece's most famous UFO cases.

Former Vice President and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney has unexpectedly become a major figure in the modern UFO disclosure debate. Was Cheney simply one of the most powerful national-security officials in American history—or did he know something about alleged UFO crash-retrieval and extraterrestrial programs hidden deep inside the U.S. government?

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we examine the controversial allegations connecting Cheney to the UFO phenomenon, including claims attributed to UFO whistleblower David Grusch, allegations surrounding the secretive S-4 facility near Area 51, and reports that Cheney may have been connected to an alleged incident involving recovered non-human beings.

What if some of the most controversial evidence for alien abductions isn't found in the sky—but inside the human body?

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we investigate several of the most bizarre alleged alien implant cases documented by podiatric surgeon and UFO researcher Dr. Roger Leir, author of The Aliens and the Scalpel.

Leir spent years investigating people who claimed they had been abducted by non-human beings and implanted with mysterious objects. Unlike cases based solely on eyewitness testimony, Leir attempted to obtain physical evidence through X-rays, surgery, tissue samples, and laboratory analysis.

In this episode of UFO WARNING, we examine several extraordinary UFO reports from the NUFORC database, including a bizarre account from Grand Bay, Alabama, involving an alleged megalithic craft reportedly miles long.

The witness, who was only 14 years old at the time, claims that on November 15, 2009, they and their mother watched a massive metallic object slowly travel south toward the Gulf of Mexico. The witness described rectangular windows, apparent figures moving inside the craft, a huge translucent orange dome, and a massive propulsion system. Even stranger, the witness says they later experienced missing time and a forgotten memory of the encounter.
