The following is a conversation with John Ramirez, a former CIA officer with over two decades of experience in U.S. intelligence. John served in the CIA’s Directorate of Science and Technology, Directorate of Intelligence, and later at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in the National Counterproliferation Center. 

His expertise spans ballistic missile defence systems, signals intelligence and advanced radar analysis for weapons systems. 

John also led as Chief of the Electronic Intelligence Analysis Branch and as Chief of Base at an overseas technical collection facility.
