The Starmer Government is playing a very deceptive game with the Trump regime. It is *pretending* to increase GDP on defence as wanted by President Trump of all NATO members, but actually doing very little. Trump wants to see 4-5% GDP spend by NATO countries, the UK is at 2.33% and will only move to 2.5% by 2027. Reeves has said that any attempt to get to 3% would only be an "ambition by 2035. It's all a joke!
