Charlie spoke to me about his Tourette’s diagnosis and how there needs to be more awareness and acceptance. As we were talking about the importance of awareness month, it was brilliant as both Tourette’s and Mental Health month both coincided with each other. Charlie spoke about his Autism and his message is that “he embraces being different because it makes him who he is” Charlie spoke to me about some of his brilliant hobbies and interests such as how he got into drawing as a way to help him regulate and keep him calm. Charlie spoke about his Pokémon interests and although I knew nothing about Pokémon i was glad he felt comfortable talking about this with me. Charlie spoke to me about being the leader of the ADHD group for the MSC and this is something he is looking forward to doing. A bit soon I will be releasing a separate clip of what Charlie said which I think is important for you all to hear. This is a great listen and I enjoyed recording the episode with a great young lad.
