As I typed the following to my grandma: “If I could give you the world I would!” I’m reminded how she won’t live forever but I can honor her now with flowers. 💐 I love all my grandparents and great grands but it’s something about my relationship with my dad’s mom that tops them all. That’s my girl and God I genuinely thank you for allowing me to feel unconditional love on earth through her! 🫶🏽

~Imposter syndrome is real especially coming from an HBCU to an PWI (predominantly white industry). However I am equipped and prepared to make meaningful changes within my firm that will elevate, inspire and invite more POC into the accounting field. ~Happiness and peace is big, I’ll never bargain my black. I’d take a pay cut quick if it means keeping my mind intake. Which started me on the journey of speaking up for myself and asking for the opportunities that relate most to me. ~What does fulfillment look like for me? It’s me helping others in some form or fashion, get closer to their goals in life.

~Technology is such a beautiful thing when used properly! But often times it’s abused to spy, lie and create some form of fear among people… AI, CGI, and Cloning is real. ~NASA’s whole internet shutdown comment- I wouldn’t mind if it meant the world could heal. Social media is the thief of joy and it’s not reality. ~Also I want kids to enjoy being kids, rather than on video games 24/7 that are programming them unconsciously.

~Trauma bonding is real and I don’t want to see anymore people get stuck in that. Listen to hear the Prayer and if you’re in agreement say “Amen.” ~Reverse racism isn’t real; Karen’s try to pull that card often and in past experiences have gotten black people (ex: Emmett Till) killed over lies. ~While making friends isn’t easy as an adult, I would rather make friendships that are healthy and not only relatable due to trauma. ~The lost submarine while sad was not smart and I hope they all knew God in the end.
