Happy Birthday to us! Unbelievable is officially one year old, and the boys are celebrating by sharing some of their favorite clips. It's a spy thriller this episode! Luis tells Kurt about two extraordinary spies of the mid-20th century: a sexy Spanish bullfighter takes on fascism, and a Serb that traveled all through Europe in a distinct "loose and easy manner."

Content warning: there's a LOT of J. Edgar Hoover slander in this episode.

It's time to get spooky! In this special Halloween episode Kurt tells Luis about the brutal murders that shook Victorian Cambridge, and the author/med student/restaurant critic who tasted freedom. Both of the stories, and some of Luis's comments on the ethics of eating people, have a very "seemed like a good idea at the time" kind of feel to them. 

Luis tells Kurt about a Czech business owner who gave up a life in the adult industry for a life... in the adult industry? This episode we also talk about the land dispute for an island of the coast of the Americas. "The Maldives?" I hear you asking. Oh no no no. This is its (frankly, dumber) prequel that everyone forgot about.

It's the first episode of a new season and the celebration is in full swing! Kurt tells Luis about the accidental genius that tricked the internet, and a strange experiment that led to an even stranger court case. 

Luis spends most of the episode flirting with cancellation like it's Natalie Portman, meanwhile Kurt can't seem to stop making jokes about psychology in the 60s. Neither of the boys seem particularly interested in talking about the actual stories. Also look out Britain and Dr. Zimbardo, we're coming for you in this episode (apparently?)

A special guest tells Kurt and Luis about the Persian slave whose beautiful singing voice made him a cultural icon, and a magic man with a drastic plan to save an empire. Legit! It's all about the liquids! Plates!!
