A writer, freelance journalist, public speaker, young nutrition ambassador, and TEDx speaker, our guest of today’s episode has accomplished all this so far and her journey has just started!
A very warm welcome to our guest, Hasini Lakshminarayan, and although there were many wow moments for us in the episode, the highlight for us was her simplicity, curiosity, determination, pragmatic approach towards life, and her charming smile.
Oops! We realized that we could not stop at just one attribute! She is a multi-talented person and it is her skills and outlook towards life that make her different.
At Unbinary Life, we strongly believe that every individual is different, and they are unique in their own ways. All we need is maybe a push or a little motivation.
Hasini is trying to bring out such inspirational stories of youngsters like her and fill the world with a ray of hope.
And no, did we forget to mention that Hasini is just 13 years old! 😉
The pandemic has changed the lives of many people. For some, it has been good but for some, unfortunately, it wasn’t good. This podcast will give you some motivation of how you can turn a crisis into an opportunity for yourself – for self-growth; ONLY IF you are willing to learn more and explore life with positivity.
And don’t worry, the conversation is not some motivational lecture. It is a candid conversation that you may have with any of your friends.
So, enjoy listening to this one!

How many of us have made New Year Resolutions year-on-year and then failed to continue those by the end of February???
Every year, most of us plan to be more healthy, be more fit, adopt good habits, and what not.... and WE FAIL!
Ever wondered WHY?
Why do we fail to fulfill the promises that we make to ourselves? Are we that incompetent or we are just too lazy or do we just lack commitment?
In this episode, we have tried to drill down :
And just a little bit about ourselves and our new year resolutions for 2022. :)
In the end, it will leave you thinking, is our success or failure actually a result of our Karma or it is just a result of our habits!

We all want to travel the world but when it comes to moving to a new city, it gives shivers to many. WHY?
Ask most of the people around you this question, who likes to travel to new places, a majority of them would say yes. A lot of it comes from our basic human nature. Human beings love to explore. Your serotonin and dopamine kick in and make you happy! :)
But frequent moving is tough not only for kids but also for adults.
Another important aspect of human beings is that we are social animals. So whenever you move to a new location, you need to establish your entire social ecosystem from scratch. No matter how close video calls and the internet has brought the world, most of us still like the warmth of meeting people in person.
We want to live and mingle with people in our society at our geographical locations. Now, how easy or how difficult it is for people is entirely dependent on one's personality.
Having said that, have you ever noticed the advantages (or disadvantages) that come along while living in multiple cities?
We all have that one friend in our friend circle who has lived in multiple cities or had to move to a new city. Or we have been that person ourselves who had to change cities because your parents decided to move to another city.
Have you noticed the personality changes it brings in a person?
In this episode, we speak to a teenager, Aaditya Maharishi, to share his journey of moving places right from the age of 6 to 16 years.
The conversation covers different facets like:
.
.
. and much more!!!
Both of us (Kundan and Ruchi) have traveled and lived in multiple places and mixed with people of different cultures. All the conversations that we had felt like a journey down memory lane and we are sure you would relate to many such moments in this episode too.

Stereotypes have been a part of our lives ever since we grew up.
We see them everywhere around us - right from the way we are born, our characteristics, our nature, the place where we live, the people we grow up with, our education, our work, and the list goes on!!!
In this episode of the Unbinary Life podcast, we will discuss:
There could be moments where you think of instances of your own life where you had been at the receiving end of stereotypes or it could also be that sometimes you indulged in stereotyping others unknowingly.

Have you ever encountered a situation where you are sitting with your friends and they ask you, what is your hobby?
After giving a lot of thought, you say, "I don't have a hobby." And then your friends start saying, Oh my god! You don't have a hobby, you don't have a passion, what will you do in life?
Or some of your friends do have a hobby and you admire them for pursuing their hobby and you are still figuring out what your hobby is?
Relatable?
In this very special episode, we spoke to Kanika Sarda, a CA final aspirant and one of our most trusted advisors, follower, fan, and an advocate of Unbinary Life.
The beauty of this episode is the moments of vulnerability where this young lady opens up about instances from her life that we all can relate with ourselves at some or the other phases of our lives.
From feeling hopeless to feeling empowered, this episode takes our guest on a journey of finding confidence in what she likes doing. And we are hopeful that by the end of this episode, you feel good about yourself too.

The things that we do every day, are bound to be taken for granted.
Like for example, a conversation is such an integral part of our lives. Isn't it?
Right from waking up to the time we go to sleep, we talk either to others or to ourselves. And how ironic is the fact that we hardly pay attention to our conversation style?
Isn't that true?
How many times, have you lashed out at someone and regretted or you felt like you wanted to present your point of view in a meeting but chose to remain silent?
These are just a few of the examples from our daily lives. Whether it is personal or professional life, communication and conversation become one of the key components of our interpersonal relationships and become a part of how we position ourselves to the outside world.
One special thing about this episode is that this topic was suggested by one of our fans and loyal listeners, Kanika Sarda. We are thankful to her for suggesting this topic and we hope that we are able to do justice to it Kanika. :)

Modern-day is full of passionate individuals who take the path of entrepreneurship and are driven to make a difference in the world.
You might have heard of the phrase that age is just a number. This episode is just another testimony to that. In this episode, we spoke to an 11-year-old pre-teen girl and entrepreneur, Vinusha MK.
An avid reader, Vinusha is a child prodigy in baking. She is a chef and her enterprise name is Four Seasons Pastry. She has been featured in various newspapers and has done multiple internships. She started her own business at the age of 9.
That's surprising, isn't it? The only thing we remember when we were that age is playing outside with our friends.
We spoke about Vinusha's journey and her views of adult life, the initiatives she took, and the support she received from others around her to work towards her vision of creating a culinary institute for underprivileged children.
After listening to this special guest episode, you will surely feel motivated to work towards your passion and strive towards living an exemplary life. With that thought in mind, we won't say much and let you dive straight into this beautiful episode that we have made for YOU! :)

Choosing subjects in 11th and 12th standard (class) is so common in the Indian education system, right? Ever since our childhood, we are TOLD TO DO well in our 10th boards because the marks will decide what subjects we will get and eventually our career options later on in life.
How many of you could relate here?
That phase is one of the most challenging phases of an individual's life. Similarly, as you grow up, the complexities of life increase. Education, relationships, career, job, society, and so on, our circle of people keeps on increasing and so does the complexities that come with it.
And many a time, you may feel depressed, clueless, or helpless. Have you gone through a phase in your life when you felt something similar?
For some of you it could be, a sudden change of scoring low grades in education, or for some it could be the dilemma of choosing the right career or deciding what to do in life. Life doesn't spare any of us. It is a constant journey of exploration and learning and evolving oneself for the better.
This episode covers the journey of Dr. Anupma Maheshwari who fought depression during her teenage life and went on to become a teenage career counselor. She chose that to be her purpose in life and help children make the right decisions when it comes to careers.
This episode walks through the various phases of Dr. Anupma, right from the age of 10 till now. From listening to her parents and relatives during her childhood to becoming a parent herself and raising two kids (who are now working in the corporate world), life has come a full circle.
She is a social worker, a mother, and a trained counselor who has interacted with hundreds of children either directly or indirectly during the last couple of years.
One message that we would certainly like to pass on is the importance of taking charge of your life in your own hands.
Rest, we would like you to listen to it and share it with your parents too. Because this is one such episode that has some takeaways for people across the age and no matter what age you are, we are 100% sure that you would be able to relate to this episode.
And with that thought in mind, we won't say much and let you dive straight into this beautiful episode that we have made for YOU! :)

Has it ever happened to you that some conversations have left you feeling mesmerized and inspired? Like, when you talk to someone, you are awed by their thoughts.
The conversation in this podcast was one such similar instance for us. Our guest on this episode is Avanti Sharma.
"Avanti Sharma is a 15-year-old tech enthusiast, a WomenTech Global Ambassador, and a pre-teen technology specialist at Workshop4Me. Avanti likes to share her passion for science and technology through her presence in international conferences and webinars. In her free time, Avanti likes to sing, dance, code, and of course, teach the younger generation to learn to code!"
We discussed her journey into the world of technology, societal pre-conceived notions, her views on teenage and adult life, and more. We also asked her does she think that God must be a coder?
Do listen to the entire episode to know her story and take inspiration from the clarity of thoughts of this young girl!
