The boys cover a smorgasbord of topics for this week’s variety episode! They kick it off by giving an in-depth meme review and sing the praises of Rocio’s newest YouTube vlog installment. Trevor & Alex deliver some first impressions after listening to some of the cast’s favorite albums, and they run through new singles and albums from JID, Conway the Machine, Freddie Gibbs, Cardi B, and Foo Fighters that came out this past week. They end the show with some Super Bowl LV talk and final score predictions!

1, 2, 3, 4! We are the Unboxing Life at work! The bois strap in for a review of a lighthearted anime filled with educational savagery in Cells at Work! Being the kind of episodic show that it is, the guys recount their favorite moments of the many bodily injuries and sicknesses that the show presents. They discuss some scientific accuracies and inaccuracies and they predict how season 2 will turn out and where they would like the show to end up.

The time has come for the Unboxing Life boys to deliver their sacred lists of their favorite albums of all time! After traditions, they give some shine to honorable mentions that didn’t quite make the cut for one reason or another. From there, the guys take turns gushing over each of their entries. From usual suspects like Kanye West, Jay-Z & Eminem to sleeper hits like State Champs, Black Thought & Ozuna (not-so-sleeper), the lists are as varied as their hot takes!

The financial reckoning of our lifetime is upon us this week as the boys scramble to cover the world’s hottest topic: GameStonks! With Reddit’s r/WallStreetBets banding together to take on the mighty Wall Street hedge funds, all bets are off as the short squeeze of the century is upon us. The guys deliver a synopsis of the situation as well as discussing what it means for GameStop and the financial markets as a whole. The conversation bleeds into other heavily shorted companies like AMC, which begs the question of whether the movie industry as we know it will ever be the same after the pandemic. The most off-the-cuff yet seamless episode yet of Variety Box is here! The boys wanted to try something new, so they ditched a formal docket list of topics in favor of trying to capture pure candid conversation. What resulted was a boxers vs boxer briefs talk, the definition of underrated/overrated, how our expectations going into pieces of entertainment affects our enjoyment of it, whether or not Eminem is bottom tier nowadays, and if the guys have ever heard an objectively bad album (if so, what?).

The boys swing for the fences as they tackle a modern anime masterpiece: Kaguya-sama Love Is War! From the immaculate opening animations and the downright hilarious, infectious cast of colorful characters to the Chika dance and everything in between, the boys cover it all about this show. Essentially like a highlight reel, they deep dive into just about every episode of the two-season-spanning show and share their favorite moments. Today's battle result... one excellent installment of Unboxing Life's Anime Box series!

Coming off the heels of one classic album review to the next, the boys dive headfirst into the absolute instant classic, "Most Wanted", by AMO & DayVision. A collaborative effort between Alex & David that started over a year ago, this episode's first half is dedicated to the behind the scenes work put into the project. Trev & Cam take turns interviewing them about specific tracks and discuss their favorite moments on the album, also giving a top 3 favorites list. From there, Trev & David shift into discussing a not-so-classic project, Eminem's "Music to Be Murdered By" deluxe edition. Not much needs to be said, as Trev basically rips it apart track by track. If you're a self-proclaimed Stan, sorry not sorry!

Another week, another classic review! This episode, the boys tackle one of the best selling R&B albums of all time, Usher's "Confessions". Cam brings another diamond hot take to the table for this beloved album, perfect for a certified diamond album! They get into the album's themes and Trev reveals some backstory about the project, as well as its numerous accolades. They also highlight high and low points on the album's tracklisting, discussing some of their favorite and least favorite moments. The boys wrap it up with a couple of Music Box related announcements.

The boys fully embrace their gaming roots this episode! Trev finally copped a PS5 and breaks down his thoughts on the new Dualsense controller, new games like Astro's Playroom & Spider-Man Remastered, and the console itself. They ask the important questions, like "why is split-screening so garbage now?" Battle royales are talked about as well, with Cam & Trev jumping back into Apex Legends recently, and the boys cap off the episode with some personal updates.

2021 isn't here for play play as the boys quickly realize with recent events. They kick off the episode with a recap and thoughts on the march on (and into) the United States Capitol, as well as commentary on racial inequalities highlighted by the events. They segue from there into Twitch banning their famous PogChamp emote, and Trev asks the guys what it would take for them to boycott listening to a musical artist.
