It is here... the first part of our four-part series of the monster anime (pun absolutely intended), Attack on Titan, is upon us! As usual with Music Box, an in-depth unpacking of the tracklist is in order with lyrical themes and instrumentation discussed at length. The guys also talk through this album’s incredible list of accolades, and they rank Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and Metallica from most to least favorite!

Another variety hour for your listening pleasure! The guys start with grueling, self-inflicted college class schedules. Wanted superpowers and genie wishes are discussed (what would you do with unlimited money?), and somehow, Outriders catches a stray bullet. Relaxing hobbies are brought up and why video games are tarnished and looked down upon in comparison to more laborious hobbies. The guys end the episode with talks of social media burnout, the toxicity of grind culture, the importance of exercising, and appreciating what’s right in front of you!

The guys kick things off with a look at the show’s stunning visuals and accompanying intros & outros. The fellas kick things off with April Fools Day jokes that actually tripped them up in the past. David tells a riveting story about how he landed jury duty and the challenges that ensued from it. A heated discussion (mostly just Trev being heated) brews as the guys discuss Boston Dynamics and their army of robots. What will the future of robotics look like in the near and distant future? The guys hash it out. They also discuss 9-5 corporate lifestyles and why that life may not be for them. Trev also gets into his newly founded streaming channel on Twitch, and the guys cap things off with a discussion on mental health and why it’s crucial to have a supportive network of friends and to be social!

The second iteration of Unboxing Life's (for lack of a better term...) unboxing of Metallica's most iconic albums is here! The guys tackle one of the most revered albums in music period, 1986's "Master of Puppets". As usual, they deliver a stellar in-depth analysis of each track, discussing everything from the album's cover artwork to the sprawling instrumentation, and the myriad of lyrical themes covered on the album (some discoveries are made live on-air). They give it a rating and prepare for the next Music Box, where they'll be covering one more Metallica album to round out the series!

The boys bring the good ol’ variety hour to your local pod streets this week with another banger episode! Trev and David begin the episode with an in-depth look at Benny the Butcher’s newest effort, “The Plugs I Met 2”, and see how it stacks up with its 2019 predecessor modern rap classic, “The Plugs I Met”. They also drill down to the bedrock of any great hip-hop discussion and identify who the WORST rapper of all time is (can’t spoil that...). With the turmoil that’s currently occurring with The Joe Budden Podcast, Trev decides to ask the fellas what their long term goals are for the podcast itself. The result is an extremely long discussion that gets everyone’s brains churning about how they feel about being podcast hosts. The (somewhat) finale to one of the greatest shōnen anime in existence is upon the boys as they review season 4 of My Hero Academia for the 50th episode of the Unboxing Life Podcast! Obvious spoilers ahead for anyone out of the loop of Boku No Hero Academia. The guys run through it just like the previous couple of My Hero episodes, diving into thoughts on the intro and outro songs and animation sequences, as well as in-depth analysis of the major plot lines and arcs of the season. They wrap up the episode discussing favorite character moments and what they wish to see from the show in season 5 as it draws ever closer to its start date... The long awaited reunion of the full cast of Unboxing Life is upon us this episode! The boys get right to the action with a recap of the 2021 Grammys, congratulating the likes of Nas, Beyoncé, among others, and scratching their heads at the rest (cough Folklore cough). Trev tells his story of moving from home into his apartment with the much appreciated help from DayVision and AMO, and he delivers a vlog of the new space that will completely ruin you for other vloggers, so viewer beware! They talk experiences with not-so-great neighbors, driving etiquette, anxiety while driving, and the seriousness of DUIs.
