Chris was joined in studio by two of the three founder of Checkerspot Brewing Company. Judy Neff and Steve Marsh discussed the opening of their Baltimore based brewery, using local ingredients, and how they got into brewing.

In this bonus and out of order episode we are joined by the co-founders of McClintock Distilling for their 2nd annual anniversary episode. Braeden Bumpers and Tyler Hegamyer stopped by to talk about their 2nd Anniversary party taking place on December 1 from noon till 8pm. Chris was also given an early taste of their Matchstick Bourbon, which will be released at the party along with a Spiced Pear Cordial and the return of the very popular Bootjack Rye.

Co-founders of Frederick’s newest brewery (for the time being), Joe Idoni and Jack Sheppard joined us in the studio for episode 109. We discussed their brewery, sour beers, and shared cat custody.

Several of our friends stopped by the studio to talk about a collaboration beer with Geotze’s Candy Company and to fill us in on what they have going on. Ken Praay (Monument Brewing Co), Tim Scouten (Goonda Beersmiths), and Rob Goss (Whitey’s Liquors) all teamed up to make a milk stout inspired by Geotze’s Caramel Cream candies.

It has been two years since the we recorded the first Uncapped. Our guests for episode 001 were Keith Marcoux and Nick Wilson from Olde Mother Brewing Company to talk about their brewery turning one. Keith joined us in the studio to reminisce about two years of Uncapped and three years of Olde Mother.

Do you Know what shochu is? We sure didn't. Taka Amano, founder of American Shochu Company, was kind enough to stop by the studio and teach us everything we needed to know.
