Kevin Atticks, Executive Director of the Brewer's Association of Maryland, sat down with us after a recent BAM meeting to update us on the BAM 6-Pack of legislation that was presented during this year's general assembly.

Len Foxwell, chief of staff for the Comptroller of Maryland, and Carly Ogden, co-founder of Attaboy Beer, join Chris in the studio to talk about current craft beer legislation and testimony that was given on Feb. 23 to state House Economic Matters Committee.

Hugh Sisson, founder of Clipper City Brewing Company (maker of Heavy Seas Beer) invited out to his brewery to discuss their ongoing expansion, how his business has changed over the years, and the current legislative challenges that the craft brewers of Maryland face.

Max Lents, co-founder of Baltimore Whiskey Company swings by the studio to discuss progress on their move to the Union Collective and the much-anticipated release of their first rye whiskey, the first to be distilled in Baltimore in approximately 75 years. Max was kind enough to give us the first look at the packaging and the first public taste of their new spirit.

Lynn Pronobis, Operations Manager and Cask Ninja at Union Craft Brewing joins us in studio to talk brewing, casks, and Chris’s love of Tea Time, which is Lynn’s creation.

Brent Turner and Richard Cauble, co-founders of Midnight Run Brewing in downtown Frederick, stop by to discuss their recently opened brewery.

Liz Murphy, beer columnist for The Capital Gazette and Naptown Pint, joins host Chris Sands to discuss the two bills before the General Assembly as well as a dozen other bills under consideration in Annapolis.

Brad Blackwell, co-founder of Lost Ark Distilling Company, stoped by the studio to tell us about his Columbia, Md based distilery. We learned where their name came from, how he got into distilling, and sample some delicious rum.

We packed up the studio and headed north to Hershey, Pa. to talk with Chris and John Trogner, the founders of Tröegs Independent Brewing.
