Recording artist and author Jermaine Tolbert, A.K.A. Nate Calloway, joins me on Uncontained. Jermaine was on the verge of signing a recording contract as a member of the group 3D with singer and producer Pharrell Williams. Unfortunately, he had to walk away from the contract at the last second because he developed schizophrenia and had to take care of himself. With the stigma of mental illness he did not feel comfortable telling people why he had to walk away. Jermaine withdrew himself from friends, and even family. This is the story of how he got his schizophrenia under control, dealt with the stigma, what he took from the common phrase "knowledge is power," and what inspired him to write about his experiences in his upcoming book Remind Me To Think: the Genius Behind Crazy. Erik Stolhanske (AKA the maple syrup chugging Vermont Highway Patrol officer, Rabbit, from Super Troopers & Super Troopers 2) joins me on Uncontained!

Eric is a member of the Broken Lizard comedy group, known for movies like Club Dread, Beerfest, The Slammin' Salmon, along with the previously mentioned Super Troopers movies.

Eric and I talk about his new movie, Super Troopers 2, which is still in theaters across the country. We also talk about "foolish perseverance and irrational determination" which helped him overcome being born without his right fibula and growing up with a wooden leg. Eric says that "everybody that has a wooden leg" or essentially something they have to overcome. In this interview you will also find out how Tony Horton from P90x helped Erik decide to go public about his prosthetic leg.

Eric also shares some advice for people who are looking to get their foot in the door of the entertainment industry. The advice may be a hard pill to swallow for some but is real and honest.

Sean Martin joins me on Uncontained this week. Sean is the singer/guitarist of the 3 piece band, The Quarantined. Sean has been singing since he was 4 years old and has lived a life filled with music. He graduated from the Musicians Institute in LA and had two of my past guests as instructors; Greg Harrison (guitar) and Edward Towner AKA Eddie Bower (recording). We talk about some of the lessons he learned at MI. We also dive into his musical influences which explains where his band gets their sound from. Sean also makes a great connection between the meaning of Uncontained and his bands' name, The Quarantined.
