Hunter Farris is the host of "Song Appeal" a podcast that aims to teach the common music listener about music theory. With most people having a negative view of music theory, Hunter does a great job of making it fun to learn because he uses songs that are current and that he likes, instead of stale standards and music you would only listen to if you were in a music theory class.

Hunter takes on songs ranging from Fall Out Boy ”Sugar We're Going Down," Charlie Daniels Band "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," horror movie soundtracks, the theme song from Animaniacs, and in his latest episode, Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." This week on Uncontained, I enjoy some beers with Xave at Drake's Dealership, a former auto dealership showroom converted to a brewery, in Oakland, CA. A cool spot if you're looking for a good micro-brew to drink! They are best known for their Denogginizer IPA, but if that isn't your thing they have many other options to choose from.

Xave is a San Francisco native and in his own words "A sometimes Open-mic comedian." He created "The Bourbon Break" back in April and has had some interesting guests, ranging from comedians to musicians, podcast hosts like myself, and his mother. That is brave if you ask me, you know how moms always talk about your most embracing moments. What else would you expect from a show where no topic is off limits. Rapper and producer Hellz Yea! was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, recently relocating to Atlanta, GA. Staying true to his Brooklyn roots and style, he doesn't shy away from any style of beat, trap, west coast, midwest, or any other. Hellz will unapologetically bring his own hard hitting delivery and clever turns of phrases making any track his own. Razteria returns on Uncontained! Last time I talked to Razteria she was in Bolivia, this time around I was able to meet her in person at her studio way up in the hills of Northern California, Don't try to find it you will get lost.. Once I found her location we had a great conversation about her travels in South American and Europe. We also talk about the Crē•8 Music Academy Bootcamp in LA, different styles of music she plays. Jared Osterhold is a New Orleans born artist that got his start painting Mardi Gras floats and eventually learned the secrets and techniques of making props. Jared has continued to expand his mediums including painting, live event paintings, giant heads, sculptures, and even illustrating some well known children's books, including Nickelodeon's Olivia, and PBS's Pinkalicious. You may have seen his big heads used on Storage Hunters, NCIS New Orleans, Bar Rescue, The First 48, and most recently the heads were featured in Expedition Unknown. Jared prides himself on being bullheaded and flexible enough to adapt to what there is a demand for.

Frankie Marcos is a stand up comedian out of Oakland by way of San Jose, CA. Frankie started out as a YouTuber and was thrown in to stand-up by a trial of fire in a bar with no stage, no microphone, and no other comics. He did not let that experience slow him down in chasing his dreams. We talk about the importance of using hashtags on Instagram and other social media, and things people need to stop doing on Instagram like taking pictures of dirty dishes after a meal and pictures of feet.
